Of all the Caribbean nations Venezuela´s coastline is the longest at 2,800 kilometres. Venezuela can also boast of having Amazonian rain forest, and a small part is in the Andean mountain range.

Answer: Araguaney

The Araguaney enters into full bloom in the dry season, when its leaves fall off. Their deep yellow flowers make a most attractive picture which lasts for several days. It has been the national tree since 1948.

One of the main features of the Caroní river is its waters are tea colored, making it one of the few blackwater rivers in South America. It has a large discharge (considering the size of its basin) making it suitable for the generation of hydroelectricity.

In 2010 there was not enough water to generate the needed electricity, therefore the government was obliged to enforce two hour blackouts every day in order to fight the lack of electricity produced.
