This is my fourth "Drop A Letter" style quiz, but with a slight twist. Start with a word, then lose a letter and rearrange the remaining letters as you go down. When you get to the middle, start working your way up again, adding letters as you go. Enjoy!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The name of the female lover in the story of two lovers. A movie was made about them in 2006.

Answer: Isolde

Some of the alternate spellings include Isolde, Iseult, Iseut, Isolt, Isoud, Ysolde, Yseut and Ysoud. The legend has changed, and there are many versions of this old love story available today, but the general gist of it is that Isolde was a princess, married to Tristan's uncle, even though she and Tristan were completely and hopelessly in love with each other. In most of the stories, Isolde was overcome with grief when Tristan was killed.

The legend of Tristan and Isolde seems to have been a predecessor to the Arthurian legend of Lancelot and Guinivere.
