Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In what month was AnnaSophia born?

Answer: December

AnnaSophia was born on December 8th, 1993. A Denver, Colorado native, her first performance was at her church when she was five. She had a love for performing though, and it wasn't long before she starting begging her mother for an agent.
2. What are the names of her parents?

Answer: David and Janet

David Robb is an architect in Denver, Colorado. Janet was an interior designer, but took a break when AnnaSophia started acting, so that she could travel around with her daughter and keep an eye on her.

AnnaSophia is an only child and told "Girl Magazine" in 2005 that "I did [feel lonely] when I was younger I was very sad that I was an only child. It was so boring. But when I got older I had a lot of friends. Sometimes it gets kind of boring because you go over your grandma and grandpa's and you're like, 'OK, the grown-ups are going to talk about taxes now, what can I do? I guess I'll just sit here.' A lot of the time I like it though because I'm spoiled."
3. Not including commercials, what was AnnaSophia's first on-screen experience?

Answer: An episode of "Drake and Josh"

AnnaSophia guest-starred on an episode of "Drake and Josh" in 2004 where she played a girl scout. She had one line. The episode was called "Number 1 Fan", and also guest-starred Alyson Stoner as a nine-year-old fan of Drake's. Alyson Stoner's character followed Drake around and was basically bent on marrying him.
4. What was the name of AnnaSophia's character in "Have Dreams, Will Travel" (2008)?

Answer: Cassie Kensington

Originally called "A West Texas Children's Story", the name was changed because "it's not really a children's story at all", in the words of AnnaSophia. It was an independent film, so did not face a wide release, to the disappointment of many. The plot followed a young girl named Cassie (AnnaSophia) and named Ben(Cayden Boyd) who hitch-hiked across America in the 1960's.

It was a very sweet and dramatic film - one of my favorites that AnnaSophia has made.
5. How did AnnaSophia get the part of Leslie in "Bridge to Terabithia" (2006)?

Answer: She asked the director for it

By the time casting started for "Bridge to Terabithia", AnnaSophia was a well-accomplished actress. She had guest-starred in two TV shows, and appeared in five movies. She wanted the part of Leslie really bad, so she sat down and wrote the director of "Bridge to Terabitha", Gábor Csupó.

She told him how badly she wanted the part of Leslie, and asked if she could audition. One thing led to another, and she eventually wound up with the part. Actress Dakota Fanning was the original choice for Lesie, but due to scheduling conflicts, couldn't do it.
6. Where did AnnaSophia spend summer of 2008?

Answer: India

AnnaSophia has a heart for people less fortunate than her, and went to India in the summer of 2008, with her family, to assist The Dalit Freedom Network. The Dalit Freedom Network is an organization that helps the Dalits succeed in life, who gives them the chance they never had to go to school, to learn, and to have any career they want. For more information, please visit The Dalit Freedom Network's official website. AnnaSophia is also bent on helping the people from Darfur, which she learned about from Mia Farrow, a co-star in "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday" (2004).
7. Where did AnnaSophia attend middle school?

Answer: Van Dellen Christian School

AnnaSophia home-schooled for her fifth grade year, and then went to Van Dellen Christian School for the remainder of her middle school days, studying with a tutor when she was filming a movie. She graduated from the school after finishing eighth grade, and moved onto public high school.
8. The dog who played Winn-Dixie in "Because of Winn-Dixie" (2005) was actually AnnaSophia's own.

Answer: False

AnnaSophia had a dog, that was actually a maltese and poodle mix, named Bella. Her friend, actress Taylor Dooley, also named her Bichon Frise Bella.

Winn-Dixie was actually played by three different dogs; Laiko, Scott, and Natasha. All dogs were Picardy Shepherds, and though the French-bred dogs look adorable and friendly on camera, Picardy Shepherds are usually not good with children.
9. Which actress did AnnaSophia play a younger version of in "Jumper" (2008)?

Answer: Rachel Bilson

AnnaSophia has naturally blonde hair. When she made "Jumper" (2008), the part of Millie originally belonged to Teresa Palmer, so when AnnaSophia played young Millie, she played the role with her natural hair color. But when the role changed so Rachel Bilson had it, AnnaSophia had to reshoot her scenes, with her hair dyed brown. AnnaSophia also had to dye her hair brown for "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday" (2004).
10. What was the name of the song that AnnaSophia sung for "Bridge to Terabithia" (2006)?

Answer: You've Got to Keep Your Mind Wide Open

AnnaSophia was asked several times to perform a song for the movie, but turned it down. Finally, she gave in and recorded the song. Three weeks later, she flew out to Los Angeles to record the music video, which aired on The Disney Channel on the weeks leading up to the film's release.
