Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The TV program "America's Favorite Media Generated Disasters" provoked Brad Pitt into breaking his fist on a camera.

Answer: False

It was actually Madonna who broke her foot on the camera crew, in this parody of journalistic mores in the nineties.
2. Who was the 'Phantom Insider' of "Product Industry News"?

Answer: Dogbert

Dogbert got much of his inside information from Dilbert, and made up the rest. The magazine was the Bible for the industry that Dilbert's company was in (not that we're ever too sure exactly what that is).
3. What was the name of the company that was rumored to be designing the GruntMeister 7000?

Answer: Nirvana

The PHB was really disturbed about this, even though Nirvana Co. wasn't in their field, since the name was German, had a big "M" in it, and was 'nearly' a thousand higher than the Gruntmaster 6000.
4. Since there was no way that even the PHB could make his staff worked harder or longer, what was his plan for getting them to get the product out to market sooner?

Answer: He was going to have them work tighter.

By "tighter", he envisioned much tighter security around the entire building.
5. What was the name of the book that Dogbert based his security consultancy on for Dilbert's company?

Answer: High Level Corporate Security for Dummies

The book detailed plans for full frontal and 'backal' strip searches, and for having all communication of any sort done in code. There were a lot of metal detectors and barbed wire added to the office as well.
6. Wally's graduate thesis was on desperation in women under martial law or living in some kind of post-apocalyptic nightmare.

Answer: True

Wally welcomed the added security, since it would be the only possible way he would score with anyone at the office.
7. After being fired, whose number did Wally offer to give Dilbert?

Answer: Jack Kevorkian

Both Wally and Alice assumed Dilbert would want to commit suicide after he got fired by the PHB (who assumed he was the source of the media leaks).
8. What project did Dilbert tell his new co-workers he was working on at his new company?

Answer: An underwater barbeque

To his credit, everyone seemed to like the idea, though Dilbert was stressed into blurting it out because he didn't know how to handle working at a company with no tension.
9. What was the only thing saved from the ruins of the Nirvana Company building?

Answer: A tape dispenser

Dilbert's 'idea' to create a marketing department at Nirvana Co. inadvertently caused the entire company to implode, building and all. Their stock fell 180 points, closing out at -20 1/8.
10. For the keen-eyed folks out there (or at least the ones with a lot of time on their hands and a DVD remote), what was the name of the Phantom Insider's column in "Product Industry News"?

Answer: True Enough

The name of the column was mentioned in an article that Dilbert was shown reading in bed at the end of the episode. You've got to have a lot o'free time to get this one right. Thanks for playing!
