1. Disneyland Park

Known to many simply as Disneyland, the park's name from its opening in 1955 to 1998, Disneyland Park is the original theme park opened by the Walt Disney Company. Characterized by the Sleeping Beauty Castle that also serves as the Disney logo, it is located in Anaheim, California. It has also expanded many times, adding new theme parks to its original 160-acre park.

It has a reputation for high visitation rates; in 2021 it recorded a total of 757 million visits since it opened, and it has been renovated many times to deal with high visitation.
2. Universal Orlando Resort

Founded in 1990, Universal Orlando Resort is located in Orlando, Florida, United States. It includes the parks Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and many themed attractions, including "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter".

3. Tivoli Gardens

The Tivoli Gardens, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, were named after the historic Jardin de Tivoli in Paris, amusement parks from the 18th and 19th centuries. Founded in 1843, this long-standing theme park includes roller coasters, water rides, rides for children, and music-related events.

Unlike many other world-famous amusement parks, Tivoli Gardens is open seasonally only. It also features the Hans Christen Anderson Castle, named after the famous Denmark author.

Praised for its design and rides, it features 6 roller coasters, a "Fairytale Forest", and many children's rides, among other attractions.

The park is divided into five "realms", covering a total of about 180 acres. These realms are the Travel Realm, Fairy Realm, Adventure Realm, Other Realm, and Fantasy Realm.
5. Europa-Park

Ranked as the most-visited theme park in Europe after Disneyland Paris, Europa-Park is located in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. In 1991 it began featuring different themed areas for visitors to enjoy, including "Italy", "England", "Scandinavia", and "Spain". It opened its first hotel in 1995.

Europa-Park first opened in 1975, after the Mack Family, which specialized in themed rides, drew inspiration from North American theme parks. It is open seasonally, from April to January.
6. Dollywood

Dollywood, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, first opened in 1961 as "Rebel Railroad". Country singer Dolly Parton had grown up in the area, however, and to help create more jobs in Pigeon Forge she bought an interest in the park. She now co-owns it under its current name of Dollywood with Herschend Family Entertainment.

Besides over 50 amusement park rides, Dollywood also features performances, a splash park, Southern food, and a resort and spa, among other attractions. It employs about 4,000 people, and hosts annual festivals and events.
7. Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Busch Gardens Williamsburg was originally known as Busch Gardens: The Old Country when it first opened in 1971. Located near Williamsburg, Virginia, United States, it is separated into 10 hamlets that depict old towns throughout Europe, including England, France, and Germany.

Different focuses are also a part of Busch Gardens Williamsburg, including wildlife conservation, a Christmas Town, and the "Howl-O-Scream", a Halloween-themed event.
8. Parc Asterix

Parc Asterix is located in Plailly, Picardy, France. It is based on the "Asterix" series of comics by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. In the comics, Asterix is a Gaul during the reign of Julius Caesar in the Roman Empire; thus, the park is themed around the Gaulish and Roman world.

Parc Asterix first opened in 1989, and has opened for seasonal events such as a "Festival of the Druids" instead of Halloween, and Christmas operations.
9. Alton Towers Resort

Near Alton in Staffordshire, England, is Alton Towers Resort, one of Britain's largest theme parks. It originally opened in 1860 as the country estate of the Earl of Shrewsbury to raise money. In 1924, it began to be groomed as a tourist attraction, and beginning in the 1950s fair rides were added.

New rides are added frequently to Alton Towers, which now includes several hotels, a golfing green, an "Enchanted Village", and many more attractions. It also features seasonal celebrations for Halloween, Mardi Gras, and many other holidays.
10. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is located in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Construction began in 2007, and it first opened to the public in 2010. As an entirely Ferrari car-themed park, it is also remarkable for being almost entirely indoors.
