Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these mutants in the Apocalypse timeline did not display the ability to teleport to a different location?

Answer: Jean Gray

Although as Phoenix in the regular timeline, Jean could teleport herself and others to other locations, she never inherited the Phoenix powers in the Apocalypse timeline.
Blink teleported at numerous instances in the "Astonishing X-Men" series.
Lila Cheney teleported the X-ternals to the Shi'ar empire.
Exodus teleported the Amazing X-Men to the site of the human evacuation to Europe.
2. Which of these villains followed the X-ternals to the Shi'ar empire?

Answer: Rictor

In "Gambit and the X-Ternals" #1, Mudir Esteban Rictor followed the X-ternals to the Shi'ar empire before Lila Cheney's gateway had closed. He assisted Emperor D'Ken's royal guard in attacking the X-ternals.
Abyss was the nemesis of the Amazing X-Men in the series.
Domino was sent to capture Nate Gray in the "X-Man" series.
Holocaust was in charge of Apocalypse's army of Infinites on Earth, and featured predominantly in the "Astonishing X-Men" series.
3. Which of these characters was not a member of Generation Next?

Answer: Blink

Blink was a member of the Astonishing X-Men, and not of Generation Next. But when she found out about the eventual fate of Generation Next (In "X-Men Omega"), she regretted not being there with them to help out.
4. Which of these characters did not go into head-to-head combat with Holocaust?

Answer: Quicksilver

In "X-Men Omega", Magneto faced Holocaust for a short while before being joined by Nate Gray. Magneto then went after Apocalypse, while Nate and Holocaust battled it out.
Victor Creed (Sabretooth) battled Holocaust on his own (with limited success) in "The Astonishing X-Men" #2 and #3. Blink also battled Holocaust to avenge Victor Creed.
Quicksilver never did battle with Holocaust in the storyline.
5. Which of these characters claimed to be neutral, supporting neither Magneto nor Apocalypse?

Answer: Warren Worthington III

Warren (Angel) ran a nightclub in Manhattan (Apocalypse's headquarters) where he claimed that humans and mutants were equally welcome. He proposed neutrality until "X-Men Omega", when he finally decided to choose a side.
Scott Summers initially chose the side of Sinister (and hence Apocalypse), but later chose to betray him by freeing his prisoners (as shown in "Factor X" #1 to #4).
Alex Summers was loyal to Apocalypse's side right until the end.
Remy Lebeau did not like Magneto much after he stole Rogue from under his nose, but he nonetheless gave Magneto his full support.
6. Which character killed Unus the Untouchable in the Apocalypse timeline?

Answer: Iceman

This event occurred in "X-Men Alpha", when the X-Men first encountered Bishop. Unus and his troop of Infinites tried to attack Bishop, but the X-Men showed up. Unus got the slip on Magneto, but Iceman intervened and froze Unus until he shattered.
7. Which city did Generation Next go to in search of Illyana Rasputin?

Answer: Seattle

Seattle was the location of the core, where Illyana was being held as a prisoner and slave. The core was tightly guarded by the Sugar Man and his head foreman Quietus. This was arguably the most difficult of all the missions undertaken by Magneto's teams. This story was told in "Generation Next" #1 to #4.
8. Why did Jean Gray leave Logan in the Weapon X storyline?

Answer: Logan agreed with the Human High Council's plan

The Human High Council intended to execute a nuclear strike on all of Manhattan in an effort to destroy Apocalypse. Logan thought that this was a sensible idea, but Jean Gray was totally against it. She went to go and warn Sinister of the Council's plans, and left Logan because he didn't share her feelings. These events occurred in "Weapon X" #2 and #3.
9. Who killed Scott Summers in "X-Men Omega"?

Answer: Alex Summers

Scott and Jean tried to free all the prisoners from Apocalypse's prison (called "the Pens"), while Alex tried to stop them. He terminally injured Jean, and then proceeded to kill Scott. Logan arrived in time to see Alex killing them and stabbed Alex with his claws. Jean had a few last words with Logan before dying in his arms.
10. What were the last words Apocalypse heard before being killed by Magneto?

Answer: "I'm concentrating."

In "X-Men Omega", at the climax of the story, Magneto and Apocalypse battled it out one-on-one. But towards the end, Apocalypse got frustrated because Magneto was taking his blows without fighting back.
Apocalypse said "Fight back! Why won't you fight back?"
Magneto replied "I can't. I'm concentrating."
Apocalypse didn't have much time to figure out what those words meant before Magneto unleashed all of his concentrated strength on Apocalypse. This was more than Apocalypse could bear, and it led to his ultimate demise. Magneto spoke to Apocalypse again after killing him, asking what the world would have been like if they were both on the same side.
