The real-life Broaddus family had bought a house in Westfield, New Jersey at 657 Boulevard in June 2014 for $1.35 million. They promptly received threatening letters, and although the culprit has never been discovered, the family (renamed Brannock in the series "The Watcher") sold it five years later for $959,000. Unlike the series, the couple never actually moved in, renting it out instead. The British TV series "Line of Duty" (2012-2021) takes place in an unnamed city. It followed Detective Sergeant Steven "Steve" Arnott in his new capacity as the leader of the AC-12, a unit assigned to ferreting out police corruption within the ranks.
