Joan Collins famously (or infamously perhaps) played Alexis Carrington in 'Dynasty'. Long before that she had a guest role in the 'Star Trek: The Original Series' episode 'City On The Edge Of Forever' as Edith Keeler. Yet another one of Captain Kirk's love interests, but this time with the twist of being in the past.

Other 'Dynasty' stars have appeared in the 'Star Trek' franchise too.

Tracy Scoggins played Monica Scott Colby in 'Dynasty'. Tracy Scoggins is a veteran of cult television these days having appeared in 'The New Adventures of Superman', 'Highlander: The Series', 'Babylon 5' and of course 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' as a Cardassian, Gilora Rejal, in the episode 'Destiny'.

English actress Stephanie Beacham played 'Sable' Colby in 'Dynasty'. She also played the Countess Regina Bartholomew in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' episode 'Ship in a Bottle'.

Answer: Teri Hatcher

Teri Hatcher played Paris Carver in the Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies'. Before this she had gained fame through her role as Lois Lane in 'The New Adventures of Superman'. Her brief appearance came prior to all of this during the episode 'The Outrageous Okona' as Lt. Robinson, a brief love interest for Okona.

Both Christopher Lloyd and Christopher Plummer have played Klingons in 'Star Trek'. Lloyd, of 'Taxi' and 'Back to the Future' fame, played Captain Kruge in 'Star Trek III: The Search for Spock'. Plummer played General Chang in 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country'.

Ray Walston, most famous for 'My Favorite Martian', appeared in both 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and 'Star Trek: Voyager' as Boothby - head groundskeeper at Starfleet Academy.

The Rock or Dwayne Johnson is now famous for his other film roles such as 'The Scorpion King'.

Of the other three, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold have had TV and film appearances, but never in 'Star Trek: Voyager'.

Kim Cattrall has many film and TV roles to her credit. She played Lt. Valeris, Vulcan officer on the Enterprise, in 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country'. In this film her character is working against Kirk and company and is found out, then has to endure a memorable mind meld with Spock as he forcefully removes information from her.

Ashley Judd played Ensign Robin Lefler in two episodes of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' season five ('Darmok' and 'The Game'). All this before she starred in movies such as 'Kiss The Girls' and 'Double Jeopardy'.

Scarlet Johansson is famous for roles in movies such as 'The Horse Whisperer' and 'Lost in Translation'.
Charlize Theron starred in movies such as 'Devil's Advocate', 'The Cider House Rules' and won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 'Monster'.
Salma Hayek rose to stardom with appearances in movies such as, 'Desperado', 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and 'Wild Wild West'.

Before his death in 2008, Heath Ledger has built a reputation as one of the most talented young stars in Hollywood. He starred in 'The Patriot', 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'The Dark Knight', but never appeared in 'Star Trek'.

Kirsten Dunst is one of those child prodigy actors that seems to have successfully made the difficult transition from child superstar to adult megastar. It was at the age of eleven that she made her one appearance in an episode of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. A year later she was to appear to great acclaim in 'Interview With The Vampire'. Since then then has achieved success in films such as 'Spiderman' and one of my personal favourites, 'Wimbledon'.

Winona Ryder had to wait until 2009 to make her appearance in J. J. Abrams 'Star Trek' as Spock's mother, Amanda Grayson. Ryder achieved early success with 'Beetlejuice' and 'Heathers' before going on to star in many feature films.

Christian Slater, star of countless films, made a cameo appearance in 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country'. He played an officer onboard Captain Sulu's ship, the USS Excelsior. In the scene, Slater's character has to wake the Captain up eventually leading to one of my favourite lines from Mr. Sulu, "Do you have hearing problems, mister?"

Bob Gunton played Captain Benjamin Maxwell in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' episode, 'The Wounded'. Gunton is perhaps best known for his role as Warden Samuel Norton in 'The Shawshank Redemption'.

James Cromwell actually guest starred in three episodes of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' before taking the iconic role of Zephram Cochrane in 'Star Trek: First Contact'. Cromwell has numerous film titles to his credit, including 'The Green Mile'.

David Ogden Stiers played Charles Emerson Winchester III on the series 'M*A*S*H*' from 1977 to 1983 when the series ended (coming in mid-run in season six - 1977).

Of the others, Corbin Bernsen or LA Law fame, had a cameo appearance as 'Q2' in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' episode 'Deja Q'. Matt Frewer, of 'Max Headroom' fame, played Berlinghoff Rasmussen in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' episode 'A Matter of Time'.

John Rhys-Davies played Leonardo Da Vinci in various episodes of 'Star Trek: Voyager'. Rhys-Davies is a veteran of numerous film and TV productions. Perhaps most recently his portrayal of Gimli the dwarf in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy and also his appearances in the TV series, 'Sliders'.

George Burns won an Academy Award for 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role' for his performance as Al Lewis in 'The Sunshine Boys'

Louise Fletcher, who took the role of Kai Winn through most of 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine', won an Academy Award for 'Best Actress in a Leading Role' for her portrayal of Nurse Mildred Ratched in 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'.

Whoopi Goldberg, who played the enigmatic Guinan through most of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and also two of the feature films, won an Academy Award for 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role' for the movie 'Ghost' as Oda Mae Brown.

F. Murray Abraham played Adhar Ru'afo in 'Star Trek: Insurrection'. He won his Academy Award for 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' for Antonion Salieri in 'Amadeus'.
