Georgia Byng's "Molly Moon" Series Quiz

All the children at her orphanage were named by how they came to the orphanage if they were without their parents. Molly was delivered in a "Moon's Marshmallows" box with a lolly stick in it.

The first time was when Molly went to the library and "found" the book. The librarian Lucy Logan hypnotized her to find the book and return it three weeks later.
The second time was in the middle of "Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism". Molly and her best friend Rocky had met at Molly's hotel after Rocky had been adopted. He used his voice and a golden sweet wrapper to make Molly think they were back on the cross-country run. The cross-country run was in Chapter 2.
The third time was when Molly and Rocky were saved from Primo Cell's deadly magpie. See Question 4.
The fourth time is when Molly is kidnapped to 1870, India. She was caught off guard. She was concentrating on something else.

Answer: Lucy Logan and Primo Cell

Cornelius is Molly's uncle. He kept Molly's parents hypnotized for Molly's whole life. Primo hypnotized Hollywood's stars and Lucy basically did nothing and just didn't remember her child. When Primo failed to hypnotize child star Davina Nuttel, Cornelius sent Molly over to Los Angeles.
I think it was so Molly could not only check on Primo, but be killed. The reason she went was because Cornelius as the twin of Lucy disguised himself as his twin sister.

Molly and Rocky had nearly died in March from Primo's magpie. Molly had stopped time so they had some time to say goodbye before they died. But Primo's son Sinclair stopped time when Molly couldn't anymore and hypnotized Molly and Rocky for seven and a half months. During that time the others lived in Malibu. Molly was furious when she found out in November!

This was how Molly found out about time-travelling! Her eleven-year-old self was the wrong Molly. The kidnapper's boss("Waqt") wanted a completely powerless Molly so he could kill her. Then Molly couldn't have stopped Primo Cell becoming President and Cornelius controlling him. Waqt had actually hypnotized Cornelius to do this!

Waqt said that after he kidnapped four younger Mollys, Petula as a puppy, the here-and-now Rocky and the here-and-now Forest.(The here-and-now Petula was also kidnapped before Molly.)

Answer: Micky and Rocky

Micky (Molly's twin) managed to hypnotize Rocky, then later when he and Molly had been on bratty Princess Fang's mind machine and had lost their hypnotic knowledge and had left the palace, Rocky had to work for Fang. On a screen, he used his voice to hypnotize the twins into going back to the palace. Molly put wax into her ears before it worked but Micky wasn't so lucky.

You are reminded of this occasionally in "Molly Moon, Micky Minus and the Mind Machine".

Answer: Milly

Molly corrects her a few times but Fang ignores her. Even so, when Fang orders Rocky to kill Molly, she gets the name right, even though she had called Molly "Milly" one page ago.

Answer: "Oh no, Petula's got stuck back there."

The correct answer was from "Molly Moon Stops the World". The other quotes took place when Molly was at the Briersville Talent Show, in her room at New York with Rocky, and on the plane to Briersville.

Ojas went up a tree when they started chasing him. Rocky started to try to hypnotize him down, but in the end he came down after Molly had shown him an example of her hypnosis. Molly had also told him her story about being a hypnotist and a world stopper and a time traveller, but he didn't believe all of it until Molly stopped time at one point.

Answer: Rocky had overdosed on Molly's company.

Hazel was the meanest girl in the orphanage. When Molly accused her of lying or joking, she said she wasn't, but it was kind of funny.

Answer: eleven and a half

Molly's story begins the November she was ten. In the middle of "Molly Moon Stops the World" she turns eleven and by the time Molly realizes she's at Dune Beach, it's November again. I assume it's January or the end of December when Molly and Rocky turn up after finding Micky.

Answer: He makes topiary hedges.

A magpie supposedly signified Primo Cell, and a hare supposedly signified one of the orphanage children. There was also a bushbaby but there isn't a hedge mentioned that signified Lucy.

Answer: Miss Adderstone
