1. Five on a Treasure Island

The Five became a group when Julian, Dick and Anne went on a holiday to the coastal village of Kirrin to spend time with their uncle and aunty. There they met their cousin Georgina (who wanted to be called George) and her dog Timmy. There was a wrecked ship near Kirrin island and while they were exploring the island, a giant storm threw the shipwreck on rocks around the island.

The following day the five returned in order to investigate the wreck before it was spotted by other people.
2. Five Go to Smuggler's Top

The Five stay at a large house at Smuggler's Top, which belongs to a school-friend of Julian and Dick. The children discover secret hiding places, tunnels, and spot people signaling out to sea. They also became aware that uncle Quentin was a victim of kidnapping.
3. Five Go Off to Camp

The Five go camping, together with two teachers, and everything is fine until they find a trail of Spook Trains. The trains appear in the middle of the night, out of nowhere. Together with Jock, a local farm boy, Julian and Dick go out in the night to explore these strange happenings. George was extremely angry that she was not part of the exploration and decides to explore the tunnel together with Timmy.
4. Five Fall into Adventure

The five are together with cook Joan at Kirrin cottage, because their uncle and aunty are on holiday. They meet with a gypsy girl named Jo who almost gets into a fight with George. The boys try to keep them apart, but Jo punches Dick and Dick reciprocates.

After George and Timmy disappear, the other three were trying to find them, when the discover a break-in at Kirrin Cottage and one of uncle Quentin's notebooks missing.
5. Five Have a Wonderful Time

The Five went caravan camping near the hills beside Faynights Castle, when two famous scientists disappear. The castle looked deserted, but a face at a window of the castle called for further investigations. They children found one of the scientists and realised that the other scientist was keeping him captive.
6. Five Go to Mystery Moor

The Five are staying at a riding school, situated near the moor. A group of gypsies is also camped nearby. The Five decide to visit Mystery Moor, which is a desolate place. They follow the gypsies and discover that they are involved in smuggling American banknotes. George and Anne are captured and held in the caves, but are rescued by a girl called Henry (Henrietta) and a couple of boys.
7. Five on a Secret Trail

Anne and George are camping near an old ruined cottage, while Julian and Dick are on holiday in France. The girls feel that they are being watched and they also see strange lights near the cottage. During a storm, the two girls take shelter in the cottage, and are surprised to see people outside. Anne gets extremely scared and wants to leave.

When the boys return from their holiday, they decide to investigate the strange happenings.
8. Five Get into a Fix

The Five went to Wales to recover from an illness and have fun with the snow. The fun doesn't last for long, because the children are drawn to a local building that goes by the name Old Towers. There are strange lights and vans make visits during the night. The children investigate and discover hidden secrets concerning the building.
9. Five Go to Demon's Rocks

Tinker, who is the owner of a lighthouse called Demon's Rock, and has a pet monkey called Mischief, invites the children to spend the holidays there. They meet an old sailor there who tells them stories about villains luring ships there and then stealing from the wrecks.

The children start exploring the caves and discover undersea tunnels, gold coins and villains that want to get their hands on the treasure.
10. Five are Together Again

The Famous Five are invited by Tinker to stay in a field, close to his father's house. A circus arrives and sets up camp not very far from them. The Five are having fun there and get to know the people working in the circus, when a tower in Tinker's father's house is robbed. George solves the problem by trapping a circus artist and they discover that thief was a chimpanzee!
