Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

1. "Pokémon - I Choose You": Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander are the order that Ash was picking for his first Pokémon.

Answer: False

Ash's correct order choice for his Pokémon was Squirtle, Bulbasaur than Charmander. After he couldn't get those Pokémon, he was offered Pikachu.

2. "Pokémon Emergency": Which Pokémon caused the Viridian City Pokémon Center to explode?

Answer: Koffing

Even though Ash's Pikachu was zapping Team Rocket, it was James' Koffing that caused the explosion because it was leaking poison gas into the air. This caused the Viridian City Pokémon Center to explode.

3. "Ash Catches a Pokémon": Which Flying Pokémon was trying to eat Ash's Caterpie?

Answer: Pidgeotto

Ash was trying to catch Pidgeotto as his second Pokémon, but made a bad choice when he sent his newly caught Caterpie into battle. Thankfully he returned his weaken Pokémon as it was Ash's Pikachu that would help him capture his second Pokémon.

4. "Challenge of the Samurai": Which Pokémon was Ash trying to catch before battling Samurai?

Answer: Weedle

The same Weedle would warn its swarm, as would attack Ash, Misty, Samurai and Pikachu, but Ash's Metapod would be snatched by the Beedrill swarm. A nasty Beedrill would almost attack Ash, but Metapod would leap in and save his master as it soon evolved into Butterfree.

5. "Showdown in Pewter City": How many times did Ash challenge Brock before receiving the Boulder Badge?

Answer: 2

Brock told Ash to take the badge and to continue to chase after his dream. Brock's father would show up and told his son to follow his dream of becoming a Pokémon Breeder.

Answer: The Moon Stone

Team Rocket would be causing a lot of problems for the cave Pokémon in Mt. Moon. After failing to capture Clefairy, Team Rocket would successfully steal the Moon Stone, but only for a short while.

7. "The Water Flowers of Cerulean City": Which Pokémon did the Cerulean City Gym have left for a Pokémon battle?

Answer: Goldeen

Even though Seel was carrying the Cascade Badge, it wasn't one of the Pokémon that the Cerulean City gym leaders could use for a gym battle. Misty would show up and demand a battle from Ash.

8. "The Path to the Pokémon League": Who many wins did Ash have before challenging AJ?

Answer: 10

AJ had an impressive 98 victories. Once AJ has reached 100 victories, he and his partner, Sandshrew, would go out and start earning badges.

Answer: Graveler and Cubone
