Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

FYI - All incorrect answers are from municipalities found in Greenland.

Did you know?

- Reykjavík is home to over 370,000 people and about 63% of the country's population (236,518) resides in the Reykjavík Capital area. It is also the northernmost capital city of a sovereign state in the world.

- Kopavogur's name translates to "Seal Pup Bay" because seals often occupy the shores of the oldest part of the city. It also features the tallest building in Iceland, the Smáratorg Tower (20 stories).

- Hafnarfjordur is famously known as both the "Town of Vikings" and the "Town of Elves" due to its rich folklore and Viking heritage.

- Akureyri is notable for a woman who in 1863 voted in municipal elections due to a loophole created by a translating error in the original Danish law. This was more than fifty years before Icelandic women officially won the right to vote.

- Reykjanesbaer has a rich history dating back to the 9th century. One of the earliest settlers, Ingolfur Arnarson, offered land in the area to his aunt, who traded it for a spotted coat to make the agreement more legally binding.
