I love this song! While all these lyrics are from 'Tonight', 'I saw you and the world went away' is from the first verse, while all the others are from the second verse, which I just gave you!

In this song 'Too Much In Love To Care' from 'Sunset Boulevard,' Betty Schafer and Joe Gillis have finished the script they are working on, so the walk to the water cooler as a celebration. Betty admits her love for Joe, but she is engaged to his best friend Artie, and Joe is involved with a silent movie starlet, Norma Desmond, who lost her career with the novelty of talking pictures. So much drama!

Since she is dressed as a boy, the soldiers on the other side mistake her as a spy and shoot her. She survives long enough to get back to the student's side of the barricade and sing this duet with Marius. She, however, dies before the song is finished, so Marius finishes it for her. Tears!
