Bride's maiden name is McTierney. Her love life has been a bit, well, disastrous, before Vane appears and literally sweeps her off her feet and they mate and marry.

Taylor dumps Bride as soon as he has gained promotion and recognition at work, after using her contacts and friends to further his career. He has always made snide comments and put Bride down, which has lowered her self esteem, and the letter he sends to end their relationship is the final straw.
Luckily Vane adores Bride just as she is, and worships the ground she walks on. One of my favourite moments of "Night Play" is when Vane stands up to Taylor and tells him to never, ever disrespect Bride again :-D

Answer: Anya

Anya had bonded with her mate, which meant that if one of them died, so would the other.
Because Anya was pregnant when her mate was killed, she would have lived until the pups were born and then followed him into death, but even more tragically, both Anya and the pups were murdered as she was in labour.

Answer: Vacuuming the carpet

Bride is cleaning her shop to take her mind off Taylor's behaviour, and is vacuuming the carpet (again) when Vane sees her.
He thought he would never see her again, after he caught a brief glimpse of her talking to a friend some time previously, and is overjoyed to have found her.

Answer: An expensive necklace

Bride's shop sells clothes and accessories, and Vane buys a choker style necklace. He immediately gives it to Bride as a gift and she is stunned.

Answer: White coated timber wolves

Although Vane doesn't know it at the beginning of the story, he and Fury are brothers, which explains why their wolf forms look so alike.
They are both white coated timber wolves, and are almost identical. The only difference is that one of them has a small patch of dark fur on one front paw.
By pretending to be Vane the wolf, Fury helps prevent Bride from discovering Vane is a were until he has chance to explain things to her.

Answer: Thanksgiving dinner

Bride takes Vane and Fury home to her parent's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Her father is a vet and is known as the "Neuter King" because he campaigns for owners to neuter their pets and reduce strays, so Vane and Fury are a tad wary of him. Bride's mother welcomes them both with open arms as soon as she sees how happy Bride is with Vane.
By the end of the gathering they are firmly considered as part of the family, and Fury has even adopted a neglected stray dog that Bride's father was nursing back to health.

Answer: Aristi

Vane is an Aristo, one of the elite Aristi group. They are treated as almost Godlike by the Arcadians, and are immensely powerful. They can do many things that ordinary weres cannot, such as time jump whenever they want, independently of the phase of the Moon. Vane was born into a Katagaria tribe, and even being an Arcadian would have been enough to have him outcast and killed if anyone knew.

He hides his true identity from everyone but his brother Fang and sister Anya for years, before finally revealing his true nature when Bride's welfare, and their future, depend on his power and abilities.

Answer: Electric shocks

The one thing that can seriously affect, disable, or even kill a were is an electric shock. A sufficiently powerful jolt can disrupt their bodies, leaving them "flashing" between their two forms helplessly and unable to defend themselves.

Answer: Bride will bear one baby at a time, not pups

Bride is afraid that she might end up having babies who are born in puppy form, or that she might have a litter. It is rare for humans and weres to interbreed so Vane isn't sure what will happen.
Acheron promises Bride that she will have ordinary "human shaped" babies, and only one at a time.
In subsequent books in the "Dark Hunter" series, we find out that Vane and Bride's first child is a son.
