Answer: Astrid

 Astrid was sent to judge Zarek, and Artemis (and almost everyone else!) was convinced she would find against him, and he would be put to death. Instead she looked beyond his obnoxious, vicious facade, and found a man of honour and integrity, who was capable of love and mercy in spite of his sufferings over the centuries. Zarek's story is told in "Dance With the Devil", first published in 2003.

Answer: Katra

 Katra is the daughter of Artemis and Acheron. She bears a great resemblance to her mother, and at first meeting, Sin is convinced she is Artemis. Eventually Katra and Sin become allies, then friends, then lovers, and save the world together when they defeat the Gallu demons. The story of Sin and Katra is told in "Devil May Cry", first published in 2007.

 Dangereuse St. Richard is one of just a handful of female Dark Hunters. Alexion is unique in that he lives in the underworld home of Acheron, Katoteros, and has no soul to reclaim, and in the end Danger ends up there with him. Although she too is now "dead" it means they can be together forever because Acheron wills it so. Their story is in "Sins of the Night", first published in 2005.

 Amanda leads a relatively peaceful life as an ordinary accountant. Waking up handcuffed to an ancient warrior prince is not her idea of a good day at the office, but as they work together to free themselves and save the life of Amanda's beloved sister, they fall in love. Kyrian and Amanda's story can be found in "Night Pleasures", first published in 2002.

It is the first of the Dark Hunter novels.

 Wulf was a Viking warrior, and was cursed to go through all time being forgotten. As soon as someone leaves his presence, they forget him, and every detail of their meeting is gone from their memory as if it was never there. Only people directly descended from his brother's bloodline can remember Wulf, and at the time of the story, this is just one teenage boy.

The story of Wulf and Cassandra is told in "Kiss of the Night", first published in 2004.

Answer: Sunshine Runningwolf

 Sunshine literally brings Talon home off the street, when she picks him up as he is lying unconscious in the gutter near her home, after he has been knocked down by a Mardi Gras float driven by the God Bacchus. By the time he comes round the sun has risen so he must stay in her flat until nightfall.

She has no idea who, or what, he is, but the compassion and caring consideration she shows him start him on the way to falling for her. Talon and Sunshine's story appears in "Night Embrace", first published in 2003.

 Tabitha is one of the Devereaux sisters, and is the identical twin of Amanda who married Kyrian. Since Kyrian is the sworn enemy of Valerius and has vowed to hate him forever, this causes some problems for the sisters. In the end, though, they overcome these and Tabitha and Valerius are married. Their story appears in "Seize the Night", first published in 2004.

 Soteria, known as Tory, is an archaeologist searching for lost Atlantis, and Acheron must stop her when she gets too close. At their first meeting, he humiliates her publicly and discredits her life's work, but as time goes by, she comes to know him and looks beyond her first impressions to the person beneath. One of the most eagerly awaited Dark Hunter novels for fans of the series, "Acheron" was first published in 2008.
