Answer: Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka Djo

Jacen slept with Tenel Ka so that she could command a portion of the Hapan fleet to help the Killiks at Qoribu in the first novel, "The Joiner King". In the second novel, "The Unseen Queen", their baby daughter was born a year later (Tenel Ka slowed the child's growth with the Force to avoid suspicion as to the child's paternity).

In the third and final novel, "The Swarm War", the child was named Allana.

Answer: Raynar Thul and Lomi Plo

Raynar, a.k.a. UnuThul, was the public ruler of the Killiks, but Lomi Plo had manipulated the species with her own power; both characters ruled the species for the entire trilogy until the end.

The only time a Yuuzhan Vong in "The New Jedi Order" was ever mentioned in this trilogy was in Tahiri Veila's scene of the prologue of "The Joiner King." An Extolled Vong proudly proclaimed to a former warrior that they (the Extolled) were responsible for Supreme Overlord Shimrra's downfall in "The Unifying Force", back when they were still called the Shamed Ones.

Answer: Palpatine

In "The Joiner King," Luke used his Force abilities in such a way that it temporarily but noticeably wrinkled his skin so that he reminded himself of Palpatine when he looked in a reflection. While his wife Mara denied this, a comparison between Luke and Palpatine was brought up again about a chapter later when Jaina nearly criticized Luke for wanting to turn the Jedi's backs on the Killiks. Mara stopped Jaina from uttering the name that had ruled the galaxy with an iron fist decades earlier.

Answer: Murgo Choke

The battle of the Murgo Choke sparked the Swarm War in "The Unseen Queen". While the battles of Qoribu and Kr were major conflicts a year prior in "The Joiner King," they were merely the opening of the Dark Nest Crisis itself. Tenupe, on the other hand, is a different story altogether as it was portrayed in "The Swarm War".

Answer: Luke Skywalker

At the end of the trilogy, Luke ended up in a brief duel with Plo and cut her down until she died. This ended the Swarm War itself as her loss and Raynar Thul's loss broke down the Killik hive mind.

Nek Bwua'tu was an above-average commander, who, though he couldn't outshine a legend like Admiral Ackbar, could certainly make a name for himself.

Prior to the battle of the Murgo Choke in "The Unseen Queen", Luke's absence from the New Jedi Order allowed Omas to convince Corran and some of the other Jedi Masters that proper leadership among the Order was needed in the midst of the Dark Nest Crisis.

Combined with her experiences as a young girl in the drug dens of her home world, the loss of her sister, Numa, during the Yuuzhan Vong War, her experiences in that war, and Lomi Plo's seduction of Alema in the dark side of the Force via the Killik hive mind made the Twi'lek an easy target to become a real member of the Dark Nest.

In fact, this had been predicted by Luke Skywalker himself all the way back at Alema's first appearance in "The New Jedi Order", "Star by Star."

Answer: Cakhmaim and Meewalh

While Leia's Noghri bodyguards were practically useless in "The New Jedi Order," Cakhmaim and Meewalh were written in with the intention that they actually make a difference in protecting Leia. In fact, in this trilogy, they actually become useful in a circumstance or two.
