When arriving at the inn where he will meet a mysterious character for information on a mysterious and dangerous place called Nal Gorgoth, Murtagh is very cautious due to his horrific past experiences in Galbatorix's court.

On the day Murtagh enters the city the fisherman are especially busy due to a festival where hundreds of Berghend (a type of fish) leap onto the shore as if in a craze.
