After Rusk dumped Babs on a truck and got back to his apartment he realized that his pin was gone. Then he remembered that Babs had pulled it of. When he got on the truck, the truck drove away, and when he finally got off (at a cafe), someone saw him. This piece of evidence got him convicted. Barry Foster played Robert Rusk (aka the murderer). "Frenzy" was released 1972.

Answer: A seagull that attacked Tippi Hendren's character in a boat

The seagull came from nowhere and attacked Melanie (Tippi) when she was on her way back to Mitch (Rod Taylor) in a small boat. This was Tippi's debut, and she fitted perfectly for Hitchcock because of her blond hair. On the poster it said "A fascinating new personality" under Tippi's name. "The Birds" came out 1963.

Answer: "harm a fly"

It was Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) who said this (believing he was his mother). When Norman/mother was sitting in the police office in the end he(she) said that "I hope they look, and say: and she wouldn't even harm a fly...". She/he hoped that the police thought that she was an innocent old lady, and not a creepy murderer. That was the last quote in "Psycho". Norman thought he was his mother and said she (he) felt sorry for turning in her own son. "Psycho" was released in 1960.

Answer: Two rich men who killed a man for pleasure, then invited his friends and family over for dinner.

I think "Rope" is a Hitchcock film that not all people know about. The two guys thought that they were better and superior to everybody else, and because of that they thought they had the right to kill the less worthy. The body was in the chest when the guests arrived, just as Brandon (John Dall) wanted. Brandon and Phillip (Farley Granger) were the two killers, but the thing that didn't go as planned was that Phillip was full of guilt. Because of Phillip's unusual behavior their former teacher, Rupert (James Stewart), got suspicious.

The movie looked like it was all shot in one take, but was actually shot in 10 takes, about ten minutes each. "Rope" came out 1948.

Answer: Morocco

Mr. McKenna (Stewart) said that he wanted to see Morocco again, on the bus, while talking to his wife. The first time he saw Morocco was during World War 2, when he was stationed in Casablanca. In the old version, the family were in Switzerland and instead of a son, there was a daughter. So the gender of the child and the place of the abduction didn't really matter.

The son was kidnapped after the spy was killed, at a marketplace in Morocco. In the new version, James Stewart and Doris Day played the couple; in the old Leslie Banks and Edna Best played the same roles.

The old version was from 1934 and was also a Hitchcock.

Answer: To trust him

He had an odd photo of an jaguarundi on his desk. Marnie asked about it, and he said he had trained it to trust him. Marnie thought it was no big deal but Mark thought it was big, for a jaguarundi. Marnie maybe didn't be realize this but Mark saw her as his pet, just like the jaguarundi, and was trying to get her to trust him, as with the jaguarundi.

In a scene that was cut out, Marnie shot the jaguarundi, after the death of her horse. "Marnie" was a thriller by the master of suspense/shock/mystery from 1964.

Answer: Roger Thornhill

"North by Northwest" was also one of Hitchcock's many "the wrong man" movies. The complete name was Roger O. Thornhill. When the female character asked what the O stood for, he just answered "nothing". Hitchcock favourite James Stewart was first thought of for the part of Roger Thornhill, but Hitchcock thought he looked too old, even though Grant was actually older. Phillip Vandamm was the "bad guy" and the last name Licht was one of his henchmen. "North by Northwest" came out 1959.

Answer: The Cat

The nickname referred to him being a cat burglar, and also his stealth skills. John was a famous retired robber who lived in France. When suddenly someone started to rob, as he used to rob, he got the blame. The film also starred Grace Kelly. This was Grace Kelly's third movie with Hitchcock, and also her last because she married the Prince of Monaco.

It was nominated for three Oscars but only won one, for "Best Photo". "To Catch a Thief" came out 1955.

Answer: She saw a black shadow, believing it was a ghost, and fell from the bell tower.

She believed it was the ghost of the wife she helped kill. But it was only a nun. She then fell to her death from the clock tower. James Stewart's character looked down, showing he had gotten rid of his fear of heights, but lost his love on the way. The famous shot that showed Stewart's fear of heights is now called "The Hitchcock zoom". "Vertigo" was released 1958.

Answer: High Anxiety

Thorndyke (Brooks) arrived to work at P.N.I.V.V.N (PsychoNeurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous) as an administrator. He later on got framed for murder, and had to run from the police and he also had to face his fear of heights. Directed by Mel Brooks, Hitchcock actually enjoyed watching it.

The name of Mel Brooks character, Richard H. Thorndyke, was copied from Grant's name, Roger O. Thornhill, in "North by Northwest". But unlike "North by Northwest", you actually got to know what the H. stood for, and it stood for Harpo.

He let you know that his mother liked the Marxs brothers so much, she named him after Harpo. "High Anxiety" was from 1977.
