In the beginning of the movie, we see the date July 3, 1981 flash on the screen. We then hear "The Tide is High" by Blondie start to play. There is a wave crashing down on the beach and Willy comes jogging by. Willy decides to take a dip in the ocean to cool himself off. Willy takes his clothes off and runs in.

He splashes around a great deal because the water is colder then expected. After Willy takes his swim, we see him walking up a boardwalk. Fuzzy is walking down the same boardwalk. Willy turns to check Fuzzy out, but Fuzzy's back is turned.

As Willy turns around Fuzzy turns his back to check Willy out. They keep missing each other's glances.

Answer: Blue Dolphin

John and Willy arrive at the party on the beach. They acknowledge David and Sean who are sitting at another table with some friends. John also notices Fuzzy, whom Willy likes. The two of them go to the bar and the bartender asks them what they would like. John says, "The sweat of that hairy man's brow". John orders a Blue Dolphin and Willy orders a club soda. John raises his glass to Fuzzy in a toast. Fuzzy then starts to come over to them. Willy tells John he is going to kill him. Willy replies somebody has to do it, he means introduce them to each other. Fuzzy comes over and John and Willy introduce themselves. When Fuzzy tells John his name, he spits out the drink he just took. John is trying not to laugh at Fuzzy. John excuses himself and goes to David's table. Sean asks who Willy is with and John says his name is Fuzzy. They both start to laugh.

Dermot Mulroney plays the role of John. John is the first of the guys to die from AIDS. He is also Willy's best friend. Dermot has also appeared along side one of my all time favorite actress, Julia Roberts. they were in "My Best Friend's Wedding" together.

Answer: E.T.

Willy comes to the hospital to visit Sean. David is there along with Michael. Michael is giving Sean all types of medication to help fight the AIDS virus. Willy greets David and Michael and is reluctant to greet Sean. Sean attempts to kiss him and Willy turns his face and Sean kisses his neck. Willy excuses himself and goes to the bathroom where he scrubs his lips and neck in a extremely rough manner. Michael continues to talk while Sean holds his E.T. and tells him that his attitude has a lot to do with his healing too. Sean seems to be enthusiastic about the drugs and possible cure. Willy comes out of the bathroom and talks for a while. He says he has to get back to work and says goodbye to everyone. He air blows Sean a kiss.

E.T. is one of the most beloved movies off all time. It was a box office smash when it first came out in 1982. It has a stellar cast from Drew Barrymore to Dee Wallace Stone. I was 10 years old when I saw it and didn't move an inch the whole time it played on the screen. Steven Spielberg directed the film.

Sean has progressed in his disease and is losing his mental capabilities. David takes him to what looks like a park with a emptied fountain in it. David and Sean sit down. David is eating a apple and pulls out a book to read. Sean gets up to walk around.

There is a woman with two children also in the park. The two boys are throwing a baseball back and forth. The woman and David smile at one enough. The woman's smile fades when she sees Sean urinating in the park. David drops his apple and book on the ground. David quickly rushes over to get Sean to stop.

The woman takes her children and leaves. You can tell David is frustrated about Sean's mental and health decline.

When Fuzzy first meets Willy he tells him that he is an entertainment lawyer. He tells Willy it is not as exciting as it sounds. We see Allen talking to a casting director. Howard is Allen's client and the director tells Allen he can't cast Howard. He tells Allen he can't get insurance on Howard because he has AIDS. Allen asks him how he knows that because Allen doesn't even know that.

The casting director then says that Howard got fired from the soap he was on. Allen tells him that is not true because he got Howard out of the contract.

The director then says he can't get a bond on the movie if one of the actors is sick. Allen tells the guy off and hangs up.

Answer: Ronald Reagan

Everyone is sitting around the table outside. Lisa says that is why everyone loves him, he looks like E.T. She is talking about President Reagan. David then says to Sean, "Is that going to stop you from seeing it the 55Th time?" Lisa can't believe Sean has seen it 54 times. David says, "Sean relates to him". He then says it must be something about the wrist movement. This is meant to be a poke at Sean. Later on in the film, Paul is in the hospital recovering from a seizure. His doctor comes in and asks Paul some questions. He asks Paul how many fingers is he holding up. The doctor looks up when Paul says he is holding up two. Paul says, "Two fingers and a thumb". He then says to Paul, "Who is the President?". Paul tells him the President is Ronald Reagan. The doctor says, "Who is the Vice-President?". Paul says, "Nancy Reagan".

Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of The United States of America. Before he went into politics he was a actor.I remember him best for the Iran Contra affair. Ronald passed away from Alzheimer's disease in 2004. Ronald was portrayed in a Genesis video called "Land of Confusion". In the video Ronald was a puppet.

Answer: David

David is the last of the guys to die from the virus. He takes care of Sean at their home until Sean dies. Bob and Willy both speak lovingly of David at his funeral. When the guys return home from the funeral, they are all sitting around telling a story about David. Allen tells Lisa and the rest of the guys about David trying on his sister's wedding dress. David was home for his sister's wedding. The rest of the family was out at the rehearsal dinner. David decides to go see his old room. When he goes into the room his sister's dress was hanging on the door. David figures what the heck and tried the dress on. He goes outside to a hall mirror to check out how he looks in the dress. The dress had a very long train and David took a couple steps backwards. His feet got tangled in the train and he fell backwards down the stairs. He woke up a few hours later with three broken ribs. His sister was mad because David had to be cut out of the dress. Everyone is laughing out of control at the story.

Bruce Davison is one of my favorite actors. I first saw him in "Longtime Companion" and have followed his career every since. Bruce has also been in "X-Men" and "X2" as Senator Kelly. Bruce also has played the opposite his role of a gay man in the movie "Hate Crime". He plays a Pastor who believes his son has been corrupted and turned gay by his next door neighbors. He beats the one guy with a bat and the man eventually dies. The man's partner takes revenge on the Pastor.

Answer: Howard and Paul

Lisa and Paul both are coming out of their apartments at the same time. Lisa is leaving for work and Paul is getting the morning paper. Paul is in only his underwear and both seem to be slightly embarrassed. Lisa leaves for work and almost misses her bus. Paul goes back into his apartment to read the paper and drink his coffee. Howard gets up and goes into the kitchen for his breakfast. Paul leaves for work and kisses Howard good bye and wishes him good luck on the audition.

When Lisa gets to work she calls her brother, Allen.

He is on vacation with Michael and Bob. She tells him to read the paper about the gay cancer. This is how the disease was first described. Only later on did it get changed to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or AIDS for short.

Answer: Other People

Everyone is at David's house to watch an episode of "Other People". Sean has written a scene where two men kiss on national television. Sean is upset because he is given all the gay material. He says the true sign of an artist is to be able to write any kind of character. Lisa then says they give black characters to black writers so it only makes sense for Sean to do this.

The show comes on and the kiss between the two men happens. All the guys go crazy and congratulate Sean on his writing. Howard plays one of the two men. Lisa tells Sean she knows Howard.

She also tells him he is gay. Sean says that he isn't because he has asked around.

Answer: YMCA

Howard is the emcee for the charitable event to raise money for AIDS research. The group starts to play their instruments and the singer starts to sing. When Willy and Fuzzy realize what the group is singing they start to laugh. Lisa is also there with her boyfriend, Sam. We later see Fuzzy, who has recently shaved his beard off, walking with Willy and Lisa. They are planning a demonstration for the awareness of AIDS. Willy starts to reminisce about everyone he has lost. In the daydream, he meets with David and Sean. Someone is calling his name, it is John. He rushes to John and then embraces and then the daydream fades.

"YMCA" is a song by the Village People. It is a very popular song even today. "Go West" is another song by the Village People as well. "Momma Mia" and "Dancing Queen" are songs by ABBA.
