President Skroob runs toward Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) and Colonel Sandurz (George Wyler). He explains, "The ship's too big. If I walk, the movie will be over." "Spaceballs" is a parody of mainly the original "Star Wars" with some others as well, such as "Star Trek" and "Alien."

Daphne Zuniga played Princess Vespa.

After Lone Starr's spaceship crashes in the desert, he tells Vespa they will only bring what they need to survive. He and Barf carry a huge heavy trunk. Lone Starr sets it down, and they see the hairdryer. He tells her that he told her only to bring "what you need to survive."

Vespa is annoyed he would question her and tells him, "It's my industrial-strength hair dryer, and I can't live without it!"

Lone Starr and Barf leave it behind, and Lone Starr tells the Princess if she wants it, she has to carry it.

Dot Matrix was played by Lorene Yarnell Jansson but voiced by Joan Rivers.

Princess Vespa and Lone Starr are at odds with each other and have been since they met. Alone, they become attracted to each other and are about to kiss when an alarm goes off. Lone Starr asks what the sound is, and Dot replies, "That was my virgin alarm; it's programmed to go off before you do." Vespa says that nothing happened.

Barf is Lone Starr's (Bill Pullman) sidekick and best friend. They are called by King Roland (Dick Van Patten) to save his daughter Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga). Lone Starr hovers over her Mercedes spaceship, and Barf goes down to get her and her robot friend and guardian, Dot (voiced by Joan Rivers).

Vespa: "Who are you?"
Barf: "Barf!"
Dot: "Not in here, Mister. This is a Mercedes."
Barf: "Oh, no, that's my name, Barf."
Vespa: "What are you?"
Barf: "I'm a mog, half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend."

Ronny Graham played the Minister.

The Minister is performing the wedding between Princess Vespa and Prince Valium. However, Vespa and King Roland interrupt as they discuss Lone Starr not taking the money. The Minister continues, but they interrupt again. He tries again, but the sound of Lone Starr's spaceship interrupts them. He tells them, "That's it, we'll take no more chances; we're doing the short version." He asks Vespa if she takes Valium to be her husband, and Lone Starr comes in and says, "no, she doesn't." Lone Starr informs Vespa that he's a prince and proposes. She pushes Valium and says yes. The Minister says he doesn't care who he marries, but someone is getting married.

The Minister: "Okay, here we go, the short, short version. Do you?
Lone Starr: "Yes."
The Minister: "Do you?"
Vespa: "Yes."
The Minister: "Good. You're married; kiss her."

Answer: King Roland

Dick Van Patten played King Roland.

Dark Helmet and his people are out of air on their planet and decide to take the air from Druidia, where Roland is king.

To get him to tell the combination to the air shield, Dark Helmet tells him that Dr. Schlotkin will give the princess back her new nose. Vespa tells her father not to give the combination, and he tells her, "I'll miss your new nose." However, as the surgeon prepares to begin, King Roland changes his mind and gives the combination: "1-2-3-4-5."

Answer: Colonel Sandurz

George Wyner played Colonel Sandurz.

Dark Helmet has dolls that look like Princess Vespa, Barf, Dot, Lone Starr, and himself. He is playing with them and has the Vespa doll falling for the Dark Helmet doll. Sandurz walks in and tells Helmet he's "needed at the bridge." When Helmet asks him if he saw anything, he says, "No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again."

During the movie, they are trying to catch up to Lone Starr's ship and need to go faster. Colonel Sandurz (George Wyner) tells the others to prepare for lightspeed. Dark Helmet tells him it's too slow and they need to go straight to "ludicrous speed." Sandurz tries to warn him not to go that fast, but Helmet ignores him. Sandurz tells everyone, "Prepare for ludicrous speed." Helmet tells him, "You're always preparing - just go."

Everyone but Helmet is buckled in when the ship. goes faster, and Helmet ends up flying and crashing into the front of the ship. Sadly, they still don't get Lone Starr's ship because Lone Starr "has gone plaid."

After Barf brings Princess Vespa and Dot into the spaceship, Lone Starr takes off without introducing himself, as the females are in the back. The princess is not happy about his driving and tells him off over the intercom and calls him an idiot.

When he goes back, she calls him Captain, and he says to call him idiot. She informs him not to call her "you" because she is a princess.

Rudy De Luca plays Vinnie.

Vinnie is essentially a robotic mobster. His boss is Pizza the Hut, who Vinnie likes to snack on because he's made of pizza. He is very loyal to Pizza. In the scene with this quote, Lone Starr owes Pizza the Hut money, which with interest, is a million space bucks. Lone Starr says he will get it to him next week, but Pizza informs him it's due tomorrow "or else." Barf asks, "Or else what?" Vinnie replies, "Or else Pizza is gonna send out for you."
