Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On a distant planet, the Kree locate a Quantum Band. Who has the matching one?

Answer: Kamala Khan

Deep in outer space, the Kree extract a containment unit from the depths of a rocky planet, breaking it open to find a bracer. There is a problem, however, as while the empowered item is exactly what they were looking for, it was originally forged as one in a pair.

In New Jersey, Kamala Khan wears the matching bangle while she spends her homework time drawing comics. It's by, perhaps, pure coincidence that she draws a story in which she supports Captain Marvel, her hero. The bangle starts to glow in a mystical colour before she's pulled elsewhere into space and time.
2. Whenever Carol, Monica, and Kamala use their powers at the same time, what happens?

Answer: They switch places.

Asleep in space, Carol Danvers has dreams amounting to little more than her memories; she awakens to find Goose ready to play and the video phone ringing with a call from Nick Fury. She picks up to hear the news-- something has happened involving a surge in the jump point system. Fortunately, Carol is in the vicinity of the origin of the surge, and it'll allow her to reunite with Monica Rambeau.

When Carol reaches the source of the surge, it appears to be a jump point that won't close. She investigates the area as her connection to Fury severs, but it's at that moment that she and Monica reach out towards the energy leaking from the surge... and as Kamala feels a tug from her bangle... and the trio are pulled into each others' positions.

As Monica is sent hurtling to the surface of the planet to find herself surrounded by the Kree, Carol finds herself in Kamala Khan's bedroom (decked out in images of herself), and Kamala hurtles backwards in Rambeau's spacesuit, colliding with S.A.B.E.R. to meet Nick Fury face-to-face.
3. On Planet Tarnax, Dar-Benn reveals that her intent is to return Hala to its former glory by doing which of these?

Answer: Stealing resources from other planets

Carol is the first to succeed in reorienting herself. When she leaves Kamala's house (to the confusion of her family) she transports herself back to the Kree world and asks after Dar-Benn, who she presumes is to blame. She discovers that she's already on Planet Tarnax and warns Fury that they're en route to the scrolls there before she heads off in pursuit.

On S.A.B.E.R., Monica tries to get to the bottom of why she swapped places with Kamala Khan while, on Earth, Kamala tells her parents she didn't break her closet door. Her parents claim that maybe Captain Marvel broke it, much to Kamala's delight.

On Tarnax, Carol locates the Kree ships and blasts off to infiltrate the Skrull refuge colony there. She comes in after Dar-Benn speaks to Dro'ge about the civil war that has destroyed their planet, Hala, and the fact that heretics have filled the void where her predecessor, the Supreme Intelligence, was destroyed by Carol Danvers in the past. Her intent, as she says, is to relocate the Skrulls. Dar-Benn plans to strip the planet Tarnax of its atmosphere.

Carol quickly gets caught out by the guards on the Kree ship, but when she starts using her powers to fight, she finds herself getting teleported around again, inadvertently swapping places with Kamala and Monica without realizing it. As all three of them fight the Kree, they switch places to assist Nick Fury in space and Kamala's family back in Jersey City. Unfortunately, it leaves the Khan household in a state of ruin.
4. It's believed that Carol, Monica, and Kamala all have powers relating to which of these sources?

Answer: Light

Nick Fury and Monica arrive at the Khan household in quick time to sit and speak with Kamala and her family, quickly coming to the conclusion that their (and Carol's) light-based powers create an indelible link between the three of them, resulting in their issues lately. Fury hypothesizes that the malfunctioning jump points are also not a coincidence. Something is amiss.

Monica and Kamala discuss their powers, but Kamala inadvertently swaps places with Carol, bringing Captain Marvel back to her house. Funnily enough, it forces a reunion between Carol and Monica, allowing them to come to the same conclusion, specifically that their shared exposure to the jump points and their susceptibility to electromagnetic energy has created a sort of quantum entanglement.

Carol rushes off to retrieve Kamala, but her attempt to fly into space causes her to swap places with Ms. Marvel at the worst moment, causing the girl to plummet back to Earth. Monica has no choice but to learn to use her powers to fly, catching Kamala before the two of them ultimately swap places with Carol, again, at the last second. Unfortunately, it puts the pair of them in front of Dar-Benn.

Dar-Benn dons the bracer once again and intends to use it, but Carol reunites with the others and allows them to fight back, forcing Dar-Benn to retreat to Tarnax's surface. The three of them are able to determine that the bracer, much like Kamala's, has great power. It means that they need to retrieve it at all costs.
5. In an effort to house the Skrull refugees, Carol reaches out to who of these people?

Answer: Valkyrie

Believing that the Skrulls have sicced 'The Annihilator on the Kree, Dar-Benn cracks open the protective barrier around the refugee camp, forcing Carol, Monica, and Kamala to save the citizens from destruction. Unfortunately, it proves difficult as each use of their powers still forces them to swap places. Carol swaps with Kamala to save her, but Kamala is angered by a lack of willingness to save everyone. Carol and Monica both realize they can only save as much as they can before taking off into space.

Emperor Dro'ge, blaming Captain Marvel for her intervention, believes that the peace treaty may have been a good thing for the Skrulls, but Carol doesn't believe it was done in good faith. In an effort to help, she reaches out to a friend, Valkyrie, to help find them a new home; she arrives in short time to escort the survivors away via the Bifrost.

On Hala, the jump point from Tarnax pumps air into the city, allowing the Kree to, at long last, breath without specialized devices. Dar-Benn provides a speech to her people, decrying the Annihilator for destroying the Supreme Intelligence. Their next mission, she states, is to reignite the sun, and to do that, she will need more than the power of the single Quantum Band.
6. Once they put the pieces together, the Marvels theorize that Dar-Benn is headed to the planet Aladna in search of which of these?

Answer: Water

Flying through space waiting for something to happen, Carol, Monica, and Kamala finally get the chance to chat with one another, find common ground, and reintroduce themselves so that they can work together for the same goals. Kamala expresses her love for Captain Marvel while Monica catches her former aunt up on how she received her powers through a witch's hex. It's Kamala who suggests they need to establish themselves with a team name-- The Marvels-- much to the others' distress.

But Kamala also contributes a key piece of info, the involvement of her Nani's bangle, which Carol recognizes as one of the two Quantum Bands, an ancient artifact. If the Kree legends are true, these bands were made to create the jump points throughout the universe, and they need to act fast before Dar-Benn creates another unstable one. To accomplish this, Carol gives the others a Skrull torture device to wear, one which will enable them to recall deep memories that may give them the insight they need. It's with these that they recognize Dar-Benn's band can redirect their energy and that she's headed to the Magellanic Galaxy.

What they find that they do know is that the Universal Neural Teleportation Network is a system of wormholes, or jump points. It stretches and reconfigures space without rupturing the space-time continuum. What Dar-Benn wants is to fix Hala; she's using the jump points to replace the natural resources. Kamala guesses she might go for water next, and Carol deduces that Aladna would be the planet to go to in the Magellanic System. With that, they set their heading and start getting a handle on their swap powers.

In the meantime, Nick Fury takes Kamala's family up to the S.A.B.E.R. station, taking care of them while the Marvels get to work. While they worry after Kamala, Goose starts throwing up their dishes. Things get more complicated when there seems to be an anomaly-- either an enemy plant or a bioweapon-- found in the machinery of the facility. It gets worse when the space station's systems start tracking twenty-nine more of these objects in its walls.
7. The people of Aladna communicate through which means?

Answer: Song

The Marvels pass through their wormholes to reach Aladna is quick time, piloting their ship to one of the few cities on dry land. Carol warns the others that she's kind of famous on this planet, having helped the Prince of Aladna with a legal issue on here last visit. What she leaves out is that she was made his Princess; the legal issue was a power struggle and she married him to establish his power as a diplomatic act. As they're ushered into the palace through song, Carol joins the Prince in describing the threat before them... also through song and dance... while the others watch on in amazement.

Carol is able to get herself and the others some convenient uniforms and make a plan with the warriors of Aladna just in time for Dar-Benn's forces to warp through in their ships. Dar-Benn steps foot into the city before Prince Yan and demands he kneel. Naturally, this leads the battle to start, and the Marvels emerge to take on Dar-Benn themselves.

Just as Carol and Monica reach Dar-Benn on her ship and prepare to get the upper hand, Kamala inadvertently swaps places with Carol and reveals that she's the one in possession of the second Quantum Band. The two react when they're close to one another, and Dar-Benn demands that she hand it over, but Kamala is able to flee while Carol returns to hold the Kree Supremor back. Unfortunately, Carol's powers fuel the band, and it gives Dar-Benn enough ability to punch a new hole in space-time, sending a shockwave across the galaxies that even affects S.A.B.E.R.'s stability.
8. What do the biopods found on the S.A.B.E.R. station turn out to be?

Answer: Eggs

As the new jump point opens above Aladna, it begins draining the water from the planet. While Monica and Kamala grab Carol's ship and attempt to fly it themselves, Carol heads out to stop the Kree ships while she can. She takes the controls when she's done in an attempt to save the others from the Kree pursuing them and, when it seems like they can't escape, Kamala hits the warp drive, sending them through a series of jump points to come to a rough landing somewhere far away from the danger. She reasons, when they land, that she made a decision to protect her bangle from Dar-Benn, even if it meant leaving Aladna behind.

Carol admits that all of this is her fault. The Kree were overseen by an AI for a thousand years, and when she destroyed it, she made their problems worse. She's the reason the civil war started in the first place, and it's why she never came home.

Grounded once again, Carol realizes that Dar-Benn is lashing out at all the places that she has called home, and that leaves one more destination to jump to. They need to warn Fury.

It's a bit late, however, as a new jump point opens above Earth, looking out at S.A.B.E.R. Fury and his crew struggle with filling the remaining escape pods and fear that there is no way to evacuate everyone. Plan B manages to come upon them on its own when Fury finds the egg-like sacs starting to hatch, revealing them to be Flerken eggs, and there's enough of them to eat the people working on the station, saving them from the destruction altogether. The Marvels arrive just in time to start herding cats.
9. What happens when Dar-Benn manages to wield both Quantum Bands?

Answer: She dies.

Tracking through S.A.B.E.R.'s systems, Monica is able to deduce Dar-Benn's location just as the others load the last Flerkens into the escape crafts. It turns out, the missing piece to restore Hala to its full glory is the Sun, which she aims to use to replace the one that Carol burned out.

While Dar-Benn opens a jump point, Kamala says goodbye to her family and joins the Marvels while Nick Fury heads out, taking the Flerkens back to Earth and crash-landing in New York just in time. They're the first to watch as the sun starts to dim.

In space, Carol, Monica, and Kamala arrive on Dar-Benn's ship to try to reason with the Supremor, telling her that her actions will mean the end of the Kree if she goes ahead. It leads to an inevitable fight where, at least, the three Marvels are able to get a grasp on their ability to switch places to get a strong upper-hand, nearly incapacitating Dar-Benn.

In an effort to appeal to her request for Hala's safety, Monica realizes that their sun simply needs a boost of energy, and Captain Marvel is well-suited to jump-start it without the need to steal Earth's. Unfortunately for them, Dar-Benn takes their goodwill and uses it as an opportunity to get the upper hand, taking Kamala hostage and removing the bangle from her arm.

As Dar-Benn dons the bangles and radiates with their energy, Carol grabs hold and blasts her into space, fighting with her towards the jump point as the Kree leader loses control. Unable to wield the power of the Quantum Bands' energy, she explodes, breaking the jump-point near-irreparably. Carol is able to grab the bangles, but there's a bigger problem to face.
10. Who, in sealing the final jump point, does not return with the others?

Answer: Monica

With the jump point damaged, the result is a hole in space-time. As Monica explains to the others, on the other side is a different reality bleeding into theirs. She theorizes there is a solution, but it requires that Kamala and Carol reproduce the same amount of energy that was used to open it. From inside the tear, Monica would be able to absorb and then release it to seal the jump point. The catch is that their powers are no longer entangled. They can actually accomplish it, but they'd have to do it then and there.

Kamala dons both Quantum Bands and the Marvels get to work, giving their powers to Monica and sending her to the tear empowered by their energy. Carol tells her that her mother would be proud.

What Monica doesn't tell the others, after she blasts through the tear to the other side, is that the only way to fix the problem and protect both universes is if she remains there, closing every crack. She informs the two that she can't leave and she's come to terms with that. As Carol flies through space to attempt to save her, she doesn't make it in time. Monica seals the portal.

Carol and Kamala return to New York to reunite with Fury and the Khans. Kamala breaks the news that Monica was lost in the fight, left on the other side of her own will. Carol, meanwhile, returned to Hala to fulfill a promise. There, she uses her powers to reignite their sun, restoring the planet to its glory in an effort to end the Kree Civil War.

In the aftermath, the Khans help Carol move into Carol and Monica's old home in Louisiana. While the Khans carry in boxes, Carol takes Kamala to sit in the small aircraft parked next to the house. The pair think about what comes next, and Kamala posits an idea.

In New York City, Kate Bishop comes home to find Kamala seated in the dark reading her file. She reveals the reason she's there: she's putting together a team.
