Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

S Club 7 was formed in 1998 by British entrepreneur Simon Fuller. The original members of the band were Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens. The band was man-made in the sense that they were manufactured by Fuller. Auditions were held to find suitable people for the band. Of the seven people who joined the lineup, only Rachel Stevens was the only one not to audition; instead, she was asked to send in a demo tape.

S Club 7's claim to fame and the turning point for the band was in truth a TV series called "Miami 7," also known as "S Club 7 in Miami" in the US. The program aired from 8 April to 1 July 1999 with 13 episodes. One song from the band's first album, "S Club," would feature in each episode. Each member of the band would play a make-believe character of themselves.

The band had a relatively short career, only performing for five years. Between 1998 and 2003, the band recorded four studio albums: "S Club" (1999), "7" (2000), "Sunshine" (2001), and "Seeing Double" (2002). Eleven singles from the band all were top ten hits, with several reaching the number one positions in the UK charts. Maybe you can remember "Don't Stop Movin'," "Bring It All Back," "Have You Ever," and "Alive"?

The band disbanded in 2003, with band members trying their luck as solo artists. Between 2014 and 2015, the band had a short reunion, performing for the BBC Children in Need telethon. In May 2015 the band got back together and performed in the "Bring It All Back" 2015 tour, which went all over the UK. By 2023 only five members remained; Paul Cattermole had died on 6 April 2023, and Hannah Spearritt left the band when Paul died.
