"Medusa and Hemlock" is a song featured on the album "Nymphetamine", released in 2004.

Since Medusa was a gorgon of Greek mythology and Hemlock is a type of poison taken from a fern like plant, I think this is referring to the Paganistic use of mythology and poison potions.

"Mr. Crowley" is an Ozzy Osbourne song covered by Cradle of Filth for their 2004 album "Nymphetamine".

If you're going to cover a song, you should at least make it your own, and that's what Cradle of Filth did. I think its amazing; obviously its Ozzy who wrote the song, and it would've been easy for them to just play it the same way (apart from getting vocals close to Ozzy) and sound like any other band covering an Ozzy song. Cradle put their musical identity into the song, and make it sound completely different, while making it 'Filthy' for fans...

This song made the top 100 heavy metal songs at number 98, featuring on the album "V Empire".

It could be referring to Queen of Winter, Beira, or the Norse Goddess Skadi, or it could be a metaphor about a cold, malicious and beautiful woman. The sound at this beginning and that of 'A Dream of Wolves in Snow' suggests it has a Nordic connection and a winter themed one at that.

"Mannequin" from the album "Damnation and a Day".

Most of the "Damnation And A Day" album was based on "Paradise Lost", which was based on the fall of Lucifer and, through that, the fall of Man. Throughout the album, there are continual references to a woman but no name is given.

Dani is singing about how the priests of the village killed his beautiful lover because they couldn't have her. While mourning her, the narrator finds the church bell tower key and takes revenge. He goes and lights the church on fire with all the parishioners inside and locks the door.

"Darkly, Darkly" will tell an original story. "It's about the resurgence of Lilith into modern society as a deity," Dani said. "There's a bit of Victorian in there. Essentially, at heart, it's a nice Gothic horror story."
