6. Which Edith Piaf song has Engelbert recorded?

Answer: If You Love Me (Really Love Me)

"Hymne à l'amour," with lyrics by Edith Piaf and music by Marguerite Monnot, was written in 1949 for Piaf's lover, the boxer Marcel Cerdan, who died in a plane crash a few weeks after Piaf performed it for the first time. She recorded the song in 1950.

In 1952 the song was given English lyrics by Geoffrey Parsons, and as "If You Love Me (Really Love Me)", it has been recorded by such artists as Vera Lynn and Shirley Bassey.

Engelbert first recorded "If You Love Me (Really Love Me)" on the 1980 album "Love's Only Love".
7. Which James Blunt song has Engelbert recorded?

Answer: Goodbye My Lover

"Goodbye My Lover" is on the album "The Winding Road" (2007). It is also a track on "Released" (2010).

Engelbert writes in the liner notes to "The Winding Road" that James Blunt "got excited about telling his mother" that he (Engelbert) had recorded his song, and understandably so. Engelbert is a superstar. What's more, his recordings of "Goodbye My Lover" are heartbreakingly intense. Any songwriter would be over the moon to have his material performed so sensitively.
8. Which Elvis Presley song has Engelbert recorded?

Answer: All of these

"Love Me Tender" is on "Last of the Romantics" (1978) and "Love Unchained" (1995). "Such a Night" is on the "Love Unchained" album (1995), as well as the concert album "Engelbert Live (in Los Angeles)", released in 2003. "Are You Lonesome Tonight" is on "Remember - I Love You" (1987).
9. Which song, written by Paul Anka and closely associated with both Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, has Engelbert performed since the early 1970s, yet only recorded for the first time in the studio on the 2009 "Legacy of Love" album? WARNING: Read this question and the selections below very carefully before choosing your answer.

Answer: My Way

Although "My Way" first appeared on the 2006 "Totally Amazing" album, this was a concert album. Surprisingly, "Legacy of Love" was the first studio album on which Engelbert included the song.

Engelbert recorded "We Made It Happen in 1970 on the album of the same name, hence my warning to read the question very carefully.

"Diana" was Paul Anka's first hit. It came out in 1957, two years before Gerry Dorsey, later to become better known as Engelbert Humperdink, made his first record.

"The Times of Your Life" started out as music for a Kodak commercial in the mid-1970s. It became a pop song with quite respectable radio play.
10. Which Nat "King" Cole song has Engelbert recorded?

Answer: All of these

Engelbert has stated in various interviews that he is a great fan of Nat "King" Cole. Through the years he has performed and/or recorded several songs associated with the great American jazz pianist and balladeer. Of those listed above, "To the Ends of the Earth" was first recorded by Engelbert on his 1967 album "The Last Waltz". "Unforgettable" is on "Live at the Riviera" (1971) and "Love's Only Love" (1980). "Too Young" is on several albums, compilations and concert videos/DVDs, including the 1986 video release "Engelbert Humperdinck in Concert," (his 1985 show at London's Royal Albert Hall) and the 1995 studio recording "Love Unchained".
