1. Don Barnes

Answer: 38 Special

Guitarist and brother of Ronnie Van Zant, Donnie, sang with 38 Special but all of the band's biggest singles were sung by founding member Don Barnes. 38 Special saw huge radio success in the early 80s with "Hold On Loosely" and "Fantasy Girl". Then at the end of the 1980s, the band saw a revival with "Second Chance" and "Like No Other Night".
2. Ronnie Hammond

Answer: Atlanta Rhythm Section

The Atlanta Rhythm Section formed in 1970 but the most popular era of the band was between 1972 to 1982 with Ronnie Hammond on lead vocals. Two of their songs reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, "So Into You" in 1977 and "Imaginary Lover" the next year.
3. John Fogerty

Answer: Creedence Clearwater Revival

CCR was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. The lineup included the band's leader John Fogerty, his brother Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. Their legacy of hits include "Proud Mary", "Fortunate Son", and "Who'll Stop The Rain".
4. Danny Joe Brown

Answer: Molly Hatchet

Formed in 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida, Molly Hatchet gave us the Southern Rock anthem "Flirting With Disaster" in 1980. Danny Joe Brown wasn't the band's original lead singer but he fronted the band during the release of their biggest albums, "Flirting With Disaster" and "No Guts...No Glory".
5. Ronnie Van Zant

Answer: Lynyrd Skynyrd

Arguably the greatest Southern Rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd was formed in 1964 in Florida. Their string of albums in the 1970s gave us epic singles including "Sweet Home Alabama", "Freebird", and "Gimme Three Steps". Vocalist Ronnie Van Zant passed away on October 20, 1977.
6. Brittney Howard

Answer: Alabama Shakes

The only female lead vocalist on this quiz is Brittney Howard of the Alabama Shakes. The bluesy Southern Rock band formed in Athens, Alabama. The band's lead single "Hold On" in 2012 was nominated for three Grammy Awards and was a powerhouse vocal performance by Brittney.
7. Chris Robinson

Answer: Black Crowes

Chris and Rich Robinson are brothers and are the only continuous members of the Black Crowes. The band's debut album in 1984 includes the huge hits "She Talks To Angels", "Jealous Again", and the Otis Redding cover "Hard To Handle".
8. Billy Gibbons

Answer: ZZ Top

ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. The Texas rockers include Billy Gibbons on guitar and lead vocals, Frank Beard on drums, and late bassist Dusty Hill.
9. Cody Cannon

Answer: Whiskey Myers

Whiskey Myers is a Texas Southern Rock band who released their debut album in 2008. Cody Cannon and John Jeffers started the band together. "Gasoline" and "Ballad of a Southern Man" are two of the group's biggest hits.
10. Doug Gray

Answer: Marshall Tucker Band

Doug Gray has been with the Marshall Tucker Band from their inception. The band's biggest hits include "Heard It In A Love Song" and "Can't You See". Lead guitarist Toy Caldwell also sang lead vocals but Gray was the primary lead vocalist.
