Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. These Florida rockers said: "...well, just because I don't pray Lord, that don't mean I aint forgiven...just 'cause I'm alive, that don't mean I'm making a livin'!" Who are they?

Answer: Lynyrd Skynyrd

This song "Aint No Good Life" from the 1977 "Street Survivors" album is sung by a new addition to the band, guitarist Steve Gaines. Unfortunately, this was to be his only studio appearance, because he, along with fellow band members Ronnie Van Zant, Cassie Gaines, and roadie Dean Kilpatrick died in that firey plane crash--which incidently prompted MCA to change the album cover that had originally showed the band engulfed in flames.
2. Who sang "...I've been run down, I've been lied to and I don't know why I let that mean woman make me a fool, she took all my money, crashed my new car, and now she's with one of my good-time buddies, they're drinking in some cross town bar..."?

Answer: Allman Brothers

Singer and organist Gregg Allman wrote "Whipping Post" about a girlfriend in L.A.(as he puts it) "She was using this pseudo love on me like an M-16, she kept putting me through all kinds of tricks". Recorded in 1971 on "The Allman Brothers At Fillmore East" album joining Gregg is his legendary older brother Duane Allman on slide gutiar, Dickey Betts on lead gutair, Berry Oakley on Bass, and both Butch Trucks and Jaimoe on drums. (It can't get much better than this!)
