Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

The live recording of Eric Clapton's album "Unplugged" took place at the Bray Studios in Windsor, England, on January 16, 1992. The recording was for the "MTV Unplugged" series, which features live acts playing in front of a small audience either on acoustic or "unplugged" instruments. The songs are usually different from the studio versions.

Notable tracks for the album are "Tears in Heaven," which focuses on the death of his four-year-old son Conor, and "Layla," which was originally recorded with his band Derek and the Dominos and released in 1971.
The music critics gave mixed reviews, some saying it's OK but nothing special, and it's pleasant enough to listen to. While others said it was brilliant and easy listening and a blend of blues and acoustic rock. As the public bought over 25 million copies, the album can't be that bad, can it?.

In 1993 the album was nominated for nine Grammy Awards; it won three: the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song, "Layla.".

Eric Clapton was born on 30 March 1945 in Ripley, Surrey, England. Clapton is regarded as one of the best guitarists in the world and is known as "Slowhand.". It isn't because he plays slow; in fact, it's quite the opposite. Clapton is known as being a member of the Yardbirds, Cream, and Derek and the Dominos, among others. Another great song sung by Clapton is the song written by Bob Marley, "I Shot the Sheriff," recorded by Clapton in 1974 for his album "461 Ocean Boulevard." The single reached the number one position on the US Billboard Hot 100.
