(a) Drag-and-drop from the right to the left, or (b) click on a right side answer box and then on a left side box to move it.
Please ignore any digits in the choices. If a choice on the right contains numerical digits, its matching anagram on the left will not contain the digits. For example, if the song "18 and Life" by Skid Row is a choice, only the words "and Life" would form the anagram "Deli Fan" on the left. However, if "Eighteen and Life" is a choice, all the words would form the anagram "The Engine Failed" on the left. Ignore any numerical digits in the choices.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Vain Coat

Answer: Vacation

Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey and Kathy Valentine co-wrote the song "Vacation" on the album "Vacation" in 1982.

The Go-Go's song "Vacation" ranked on 11 music charts in five countries: Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden and the US. The Go-Go's album "Vacation" ranked on six music charts in six countries: Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, UK and the US. Fans in the UK apparently fancied the album "Vacation" over the single "Vacation."

On 26 Jun 1982, The Go-Go's were the first band in the US to release a single on cassette tape, aka a "cassingle," and this magnetic milestone was the song "Vacation" backed with "Beatnik Beach." Fans in 1982 could simply press auto-reverse on their Walkmans and magically listen to "Vacation" and "Beatnik Beach" all day of every day while on vacation at the beach.

You can spell "Vacation" from the 27 letters in Victoria Anne Theresa Peterson (VICTOriA ANne theresa peterson). Vicki Peterson of The Bangles not only stood in for the pregnant Charlotte Caffey during the 18 shows of the "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" tour, but also the ten shows of The Go-Go's Acoustic Christmas Tour in 1994.
2. I Tout a Mac

Answer: Automatic

Jane Wiedlin wrote the song "Automatic" on the album "Beauty and the Beat" in 1981.

The Go-Go's released two songs with the word "automatic" in the title. The Go-Go's released "Automatic" on the album "Beauty and the Beat" in 1981 and "Automatic Rainy Day" on "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.

Unlike Belinda and Charlotte's names, you can't spell any of The Go-Go's song titles with the 25 letters in Jane Marie Genevieve Wiedlin. If The Go-Go's renamed the following five songs, I'd have better Scrabble-ly information for Jane's name:

"Tonite" to "Evening" (jaNE marIE GeNeVieve wiedlin)
"Mercenary" to "Marine" (jANE MaRIe genevieve wiedlin)
"He's So Strange" to "Eerie Man" (jANE MaRIE gEnevieve wiedlin)
"Vacation" to "Remaining Leave" (jANE MARIE GENeVIeve wiedLin)
"Get Up and Go" to "Emerge and Live" (jANE MaRIE GEnEVieve wieDLin)

"Remaining leave, all I ever wanted...Remaining leave, had to get away..."
3. Blame Riot

Answer: Baltimore

Gina Schock was born in Baltimore, Maryland and 21 years, ten months and four days later, Gina debuted with The Go-Go's on (Wed) 4 Jul 1979 at the Hong Kong Cafe in Los Angeles, California.

Of the 150 Go-Go's lingos in this series of quizzes, "Baltimore" is the fifth of nine with no repeating letters.
4. I Fuel a Tub

Answer: Beautiful

Charlotte Caffey and Gina Schock co-wrote the song "Beautiful" on the album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" in 1994.
5. Obel Cruz

Answer: Club Zero

Jane Wiedlin, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine and Anna Waronker co-wrote the song "Club Zero" as a non-album single in 2020.

Of The Go-Go's 61 original songs, "Club Zero" has the most writers at six. The second most-writers is all five Go-Go's on the songs "Sonic Superslide" and "Throw Me a Curve" on the album "God Bless The Go-Go's" (2001).

"Club Zero" ranked number seven and on the Billboard Alternative Digital Song Sales from 15 to 21 Aug 2020 and peaked at number 14 during its three weeks on the Billboard Rock Digital Song Sales from 19 Sep to 9 Oct 2020.

The songs "Club Zero," "I'm the Only One" and "Girl of 100 Lists" are the only three Go-Go's songs with a number in the title.

"Club Zero" has no English anagrams. Is "Club Zero" an antigram?

Because of its Z, you cannot spell "zero" with the letters in any of The Go-Go's names; however, Belinda has 42 "zeroes" because you can spell "billion" and "decillion" with the letters in Belinda Jo Carlisle. According to the definitions in the short numeric scale, a billion contains nine zeros and a decillion contains 33.

Of the 150 Go-Go's lingos in this series of quizzes, "Club Zero" is the sixth of nine with no repeating letters. According to Math Cats' Really Big Numbers calculator, a number with 150 zeros would be in the novemquadragintillions.
6. Jock Lore

Answer: Cool Jerk

The Go-Go's cover Donald Storball's song "Cool Jerk" on the album "Vacation" in 1982.

The Capitols originally released "Cool Jerk" as a single in March 1966.

The Go-Go's released three versions of "Cool Jerk." The Go-Go's released their first version on the album "Vacation" in 1982 and their second version on the compilation album "Greatest" in 1990. Fans in the UK apparently fancied The Go-Go's second version because it ranked number 60 on the UK Singles Chart in 1991.

Six months before signing a record deal, The Go-Go's originally recorded "Cool Jerk" and four other songs on a demo tape at Gold Star Studios in Los Angeles during October 1980. Exactly 14 years later, The Go-Go's released this original recording as their third version of "Cool Jerk" on the retrospective album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" during October 1994.

According to Music Connection magazine, radio DJ Rodney Bingenheimer played cool songs from The Go-Go's demo tape during his show "Rodney on the Roqs" at KROQ-FM in Pasadena, California (Kubernik, 2021). According to Rolling Stone magazine, Jane revealed an uncool assault from Rodney Bingenheimer during her teens at his nightclub in Los Angeles, California (Millman, 2023).
7. Idol Grog

Answer: Good Girl

Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey co-wrote the song "Good Girl" on the album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" in 1994.

The Go-Go's songs "Good Girl" and "Good for Gone" are the only songs with "good" in the title, and the songs "Good Girl" and "Girl of 100 Lists" are the only songs with "girl" in the title. A mash-up song "Good Girl of 100 Lists Gone for Good" would have "Goof Forgot Dried Lingos Logos" as an anagram.
8. Nice Siren

Answer: Insincere

Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey co-wrote the song "Insincere" on the album "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.

As a songwriting duo, Jane and Charlotte co-wrote more songs than any other combination of songwriters for The Go-Go's. Of The Go-Go's 61 original songs on seven albums and 17 singles, Jane and Charlotte exclusively teamed to write 11 (18%), including their chart hits "Get Up and Go" and "Turn to You."

The end of an era? As far as its placement at track nine on their latest album "God Bless The Go-Go's," the song "Insincere" could be the last song this legendary duo will write together. Let's hope my observation is insincere.
9. Merry Acne

Answer: Mercenary

Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey and Kathy Valentine co-wrote the song "Mercenary" on the album "Talk Show" in 1984.

"Near Mercy" is also an anagram of "Mercenary" but would have been mercifully too easy.
10. Mince Rags

Answer: Screaming

Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey co-wrote the song "Screaming" on the album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" in 1994.

"Screaming" is one of The Go-Go's earliest songs and was previously unreleased on any album or single for 15 years. In 1994, The Go-Go's included a live performance of "Screaming" from 1 Aug 1979 at the Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco, California on their retrospective album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's."

Of the 150 Go-Go's lingos in this series of quizzes, "Screaming" is the seventh of nine with no repeating letters.
