Russell Wilson led his Seattle Seahawks to their first National Football League title in 2014. Luke and Owen Wilson have been gracing the screen for several years. And Ann and Nancy Wilson founded the rock group Heart in 1976. Other famous Wilsons are President Woodrow and Beach Boys Brian and Dennis. And of course, Tom Hanks' friend in "Cast Away".

He is particularly renowned though for founding the Virgin Group in the 1970s - a group which included Virgin Airlines and Virgin Records. The Virgin group in 2022 controlled more than 400 companies in various fields.

Months later when he was told who he saved, he advised it gave him a "small bit of comfort" in saving the son of the man his brother assassinated.
