Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip had four children, Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward, and each of the four children produced two children, for a total of eight grandchildren. With the exception of Peter Phillips, who finalized the divorce from his wife, Autumn, in June 2021, all of the grandchildren were married at the time the Queen passed away, with the exception of the two youngest.
King Charles III had two sons with his first wife, Diana - William and Harry. William and his wife, Catherine, had three children prior to the Queen's death - George, Charlotte, and Louis. Archie and Lilibet are the children of Harry and his wife, Meghan.
Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, was married to Autumn and together they had two daughters before the Queen's death - Savannah and Isla. Anne's daughter, Zara, and her husband, Mike Tindall, had three children before the Queen's passing; their names are Mia, Lena, and Lucas.
Andrew's two daughters with Sarah produced two grandchildren before the Queen's death. Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo, are the parents of Sienna, and Eugenie and her husband, Jack, are the parents of August and Ernest. Ernest is not on the list because he was born in 2023.
Edward and Sophie's two children, Louise and James were the youngest of the Queen's grandchildren, and had no children at the time the Queen passed away. Growing up they were typically included in the portraits with the great-grandchildren because of their young age.
Margaret, of course, was the Queen's sister and Elizabeth was her mother.
