In other words, her statement 'give me children, or I'll die' became prophetic.

2. According to Genesis 24:65, Rebekah is the first woman specifically named in the Old Testament to cover her face with a veil. What's the name of the second person mentioned in Scripture covering her face with a veil, as per Genesis 38:14?

Answer: Tamar

Tamar, the daughter-in-law of Judah, is the correct answer. It's a long story. Tamar was a widow after her first two husbands were struck dead by the LORD due to their evil ways, as per the 38th chapter of Genesis. Determined to have more children, Tamar apparently set out be impregnated by Judah.

Genesis 38:14 tells of Tamar taking off her widow's clothes and covering her face with a veil to disguise herself. Scripture goes on to state Judah saw Tamar sitting by the side of the road, and not recognizing her, he mistook her for a prostitute. He ended up sleeping with her and Scripture reports that about three months later it was revealed Tamar was pregnant. However, she had kept her veil over her face during intercourse and Judah didn't realize he was sleeping with his daughter-in-law.

3. The first person to be struck down by the LORD was Lot's wife. Who was the second person put to death by the LORD, as per Genesis 38:7? (Yes, I know the entire population of the world, with the exception of Noah and his family, perished in the flood in the seventh chapter of Genesis and the population of Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed at the same time Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt, but this question is based on an individual being stuck down, not a collective body.)

Answer: Er

The correct answer is Er, the son of Judah and husband on Tamar. According to Scripture, he was put to death by the LORD for being wicked. However, no details are given about his wickedness. Genesis 38:6-7, in the NIV Bible, simply states: "Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the LORD's sight; so the LORD put him to death."

Incidentally, Tamar would become the wife of Onan, Er's brother, and he too was put to death by the LORD. Genesis 38:8-10, in the NIV Bible, states: "Then Judah said to Onan, 'Sleep with your brother's wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.' What he did was wicked in the LORD's sight; so the LORD put him to death also."

Abinadab is the correct answer. 1 Samuel 17:13-15 in the NIV Bible, states: "Jesse's three oldest sons had followed Saul to the war: The firstborn was Eliab; the second, Abinadab; and the third, Shammah. David was the youngest. The three oldest followed Saul, but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father's sheep at Bethlehem."

Acts, however, does not have a second part.
