In addition to his passing skills, Bennett is also a capable running quarterback as evidenced by his two rushing touchdowns in the title game.

Derius Davis was the #2 receiver on TCU and he was one of the lone bright spots of the game for TCU. Although he lost a fumble on the second drive, Davis recorded five catches for 101 yards. TCU's leading receiver during the season, Quentin Johnston, had just one catch for three yards in the championship game.

Bear Alexander was born in Denton, TX and he was one of five Georgia players in the title game to record both a sack and tackle for loss. With several of Georgia's starting defensive line declaring for the NFL draft, Bear Alexander moved up the depth chart after the title game.
