Michael Irvin played his entire career of 12 seasons with the Cowboys. He retired after the 1999 season. He was a first round, 11th pick of the 1988 draft from the University of Miami.

Murchison was an original owner and hired Landry. Bright sold the team to Jones after just a few seasons. Jones immediately fired Landry before the 1989 season and replaced him with Jimmy Johnson, then head coach of the University of Miami. Landry's only coaching stint was with the Cowboys from 1960-1988.

Smith, a 1963 draft pick, and White, a 1975 draft pick, were both former Cowboys that were also inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994. Leroy Kelly was a 1994 inductee but was a former Brown. Dorsett was a Heisman Trophy winner in 1976 and a 4-time Pro Bowler.

He came out of the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and played 11 seasons for the Cowboys before going one season with the Broncos. He was Rookie of the Year in 1977 and also part of the 1977 Super Bowl Championship team.
