Answer: 1960

The Cowboys joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1960. They were the first ever expansion team and also had to play the first season without picking players from the college draft.

Clint Murchison Jr. and Bedford Wynne were the original co-owners of the Cowboys. In 1984, the Cowboys were sold to H.R. Bright. He had the team only until 1989, then sold them to Jerry Jones.

Answer: Tom Landry

Tom was the coach of the Cowboys for their first 29 seasons! The others have all been head coach of the Cowboys at some point.

The Cowboys have had a star on their helmet in some form or fashion since their inception. They have rotated wearing their home and road colors while at home since the 1990s.

Answer: Chuck Howley

Even though Dallas lost the Super Bowl, linebacker Chuck Howley was named MVP for his 2 interceptions and fumble recovery. He was the first defensive player, and the first member of a non-winning team to be named MVP. It was also the first time a QB did not win the award. They lost to the Colts, 16-13.
