Answer: Ty Cobb

Cobb set a season record by stealing 96 in 1915, a record that stood until 1962 when Dodger Maury Wills became the first to top the 100-mark with 104. Brock of the Cardinals broke Wills' record in 1974 with 118. Coleman topped the 100-mark three times in his career.
2. In the first 100 years of the Major Leagues, which team never went to three consecutive World Series?

Answer: Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies went to five Worlds Series in the first 100 years, but none were consecutive. They were victorious only once, in 1983 with the help of Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton. Answer: Tom Seaver

Although Seaver won a Rookie of the Year and three Cy Young awards, this Met and Red peaked at 289 strikeouts in the 1971 season. Feller threw 348 in 1946 with the Indians. Koufax set a modern day baseball record in 1965 by striking out 382, then Ryan broke it with 383 in 1973.

Answer: Mike Witt

Witt spent all his 12 seasons in the American League which had a designated hitter. In 1986, Mike was third in the Cy Young voting behind Roger Clemens and Teddy Higuera. The former Angel retired in 1993 as a Yankee with a 117-116 record. Although Righetti spent most of his career in the American League, he was also a San Francisco Giant. 6. All these speedsters stole over 800 bases in the career except for who?

Answer: Harmon Killebrew

When Lou Brock retired in 1979, he stood on top of the heap with 938 career stolen bases. Little did Brock know that in the same year, little Rickey Henderson was a rookie with the Athletics, and would go on to surpass Lou's record by stealing 1406. Harmon Killebrew, who spent 18 seasons with the Senators/Twins franchise, stole a snailing 19 bases, and averaged one base per year for his 19 seasons.

He stole almost half his career total in 1969 with eight.

Ed led the National League in batting in 1899, hitting a .410, and also led the league in hits, total bases, and doubles.

His Hall of Fame membership was in 1945. Young, who won 511 career games, and had a pitching award named after him, died at the age of 88 in 1955. Slaughter, mostly with the Cardinals, died at 86 in 2002. Stengel was a player and a manager throughout his career, and died at 85 in 1975.
