Answer: Enos Slaughter

Slaughter played for 19 seasons from 1938-1959. He was MVP runner-up in 1942 to teammate Mort Cooper. Upon return from the war in 1946, he still finished third MVP behind winning teammate Stan Musial. Enos was inducted into the hall in 1985.
2. This player was inducted into the Hall of Fame 15 years after his brother. They shared the same outfield for many seasons together. Who had a ROLLED YAWN?

Answer: Lloyd Waner

Lloyd and brother Paul shared the Pittsburgh Pirate outfield from 1927-1940. Paul was inducted into the hall in 1952, followed by the younger Lloyd in 1967.

Dickey was the Yankees' catcher from 1928-1946. He went to 11 all-star games and also eight World Series. Bill won seven of those, losing only to the Cardinals in 1942. The Hall of Fame took Dickey in 1954.

Marichal was known on the mound as a San Francisco Giant. At the end of 1973, his contract was purchased by the Boston Red Sox for the '74 season, then signed as a free agent as a Dodger for his final season in 1975. He was inducted into the hall in 1983.

Answer: Cap Anson

Cap's career began in 1871 with the Rockford Forest City's of the National Association. When the league folded in 1875, he joined the new National League in 1876, playing for the Chicago White Stockings (later Cubs). He was player/manager the White Stockings from 1879-1897 and then retired as a player.

He managed the New York Giants for one season in 1898. Anson was inducted into the hall in 1939.
6. This player lost his life before his playing career ended. Who was THE LADY DEAN?

Answer: Ed Delahanty

Ed was one of five brothers in the Major Leagues, and was by far the best. In 1903, after 42 games with the Senators, he lost his life over Niagara Falls. Whether he was pushed, fell, or committed suicide has never been determined. The hall took Delahanty in 1945.
7. This player and manager was inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame in the first decade of the 21st century. During his career, he had TILE HELP. Who was he?

Answer: Pete Hill

Hill played in the Negro Leagues from 1904-1925. He played for the Philadelphia, Leland, and Chicago American Giants. He once had a hitting streak of 115 games in 116 games. He retired in 1925 after managing the Baltimore Black Sox. Hill died in 1951 at the age of 71. He was inducted in 2006.
8. This pitcher was a Cy Young winner, and led the league in both ERA and wins. Who had FIRE HATCH NUTS?

Answer: Catfish Hunter

Hunter played his career with the Athletics and Yankees. He won his Cy Young in 1974 with Oakland, then was runner-up as a Yankee in 1975, losing to Jim Palmer of the Orioles. He retired in 1979, and was inducted in 1987.
9. This Hall of Famer was a career Boston Red Sox player. He went to only one World Series and hit a home run in it. Who was a BODY ROBBER?

Answer: Bobby Doerr

Doerr played from 1938-1951 with the great Ted Williams in Boston. He played in 1852 games at second base for the Red Sox. His only World Series was in 1946, where Boston lost to the Cardinals, four games to three. Bobby batted .409 in the series.
10. I was inducted into the Hall of Fame all by myself one year. It took me quite a while, but I finally made it. I never knew that I had a VAPID LUNG. Who am I?

Answer: Pud Galvin

Galvin was a pitcher, and 10 times won 20+ games in a season, including winning 46 twice. He retired in 1892 as a St. Louis Brown, then died in 1902. Pud finally made it to the hall in 1965.
