Answer: Americans

The Boston Americans met the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1903, in a five games to three win over the Pirates in the World Series. The Americans also won the 1904 American League pennant, but there was no World Series held in that season. As the Red Sox, they won their first World Series in 1912 against the New York Giants.
2. Yogi Berra joined Major League Baseball in 1946. He then went to 10 World Series in the next 12 seasons with which team?

Answer: Yankees

In a World Series run likely to never be duplicated, the Yankees won eight of 10 World Series from 1947-1958. Berra would go to four more World Series with the Yankees from 1960-1963 before retiring. The Yankees didn't stop without Yogi, and went to another series in 1964. Berra came back for one season with the Mets in 1965. Yogi would total 14 World Series with the Yankees, winning 10.
