A Connaught/Munster selection played an Ulster/Leinster selection in the first game ever to be played in the Aviva Stadium (previously Landsdowne Road) on the 15th April 2010.

Munster became the second Irish province to win the European Rugby Cup in 2005-06, beating French side Biarritz in the final.
