1. When Celtic were crowned champions of Scotland in season 2021-22, it marked the 37th straight season in which either they or their Glasgow rivals Rangers had won the title. Which team, in 1984-85, had been the last non-Glasgow champions?

2. Which Scottish club played their home matches at Forthbank Stadium in the late 1990s and early 2000s?

Answer: Stirling Albion

Stirling Albion were formed in 1945 and played their home games at Annfield Park until 1993, when they moved into the new Forthbank Stadium. The ground has a similar name to that of King's Park FC, the town's previous club, who had played at Forthbank Park before the club was dissolved in 1945.
3. In 2002, who became the first non-Scot to be appointed as manager of the Scotland national team?

Answer: Berti Vogts

Berti Vogts was a defender who represented West Germany 96 times between 1967 and 1978. The Scottish F.A. appointed him as national team manger in 2002, but his two and a half year tenure was regarded by most fans as one of the worst in the country's history. In the week after his tenure ended, Scotland's FIFA World Ranking was #77, their worst-ever.
4. Which Scottish League football club are based in the town of Dingwall?

Answer: Ross County

Ross County were formed in Dingwall in 1929, and take their name from the former county of Ross & Cromarty, now part of the Highland council area. The club were members of the Highland League until 1994 when they were admitted into the Scottish League.

They made their mark over the next couple of decades, working their way through the divisions to the top tier, reaching the 2010 Scottish F.A. Cup final, where they lost 0-3 to Dundee United, and winning the 2016 Scottish League Cup, defeating Hibernian 2-1 in the final.
5. Which club held the Scottish F.A. Cup for seven years between 1939 and 1946?

Answer: Clyde

Clyde defeated Motherwell 4-0 in the 1938-19 Scottish Cup final, their first-ever triumph in the competition. A few months later, Germany invaded Poland, and the competition was put in abeyance until the 1946-47 season, when Aberdeen were the winners. Clyde, therefore, hold the record of the longest tenure as cup holders!
6. Which player made a record 102 appearances for the Scotland national team?

Answer: Kenny Dalglish

Kenny Dalglish was born in Glasgow in 1951 and spent his club career with Celtic and Liverpool before going on to a successful managerial career (Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United)_. 7. Who was the first Scotsman to win the Ballon d'Or for European Footballer of the Year?

Answer: Denis Law

8. If you attended a football match between the "Gable Endies" and the "Red Lichties", which two local rivals would you be watching?

Answer: Montrose & Arbroath

Montrose and Arbroath are both located in the county of Angus, between Dundee and Aberdeen. Montrose are nicknamed the "Gable Endies" after a local style of architecture, while Arbroath's nickname of the "Red Lichties" refers to red lights that guided fishing boats back to the local harbour.
9. What nickname was given to the Scotland team which defeated England 5-1 in 1928?

Answer: Wembley Wizards

On 31st March 1928, Scotland travelled to Wembley Stadium to face England in a British Championship match, having already lost to both Northern Ireland and Wales. They exceeded all expectations by recording a 5-1 victory, and have been immortalised as the "Wembley Wizards" ever since. Alex Jackson scored a hat-trick and Alex James scored twice for Scotland, with Bob Kelly grabbing a late consolation goal for England.
10. Which is the only Glasgow club, other than Celtic or Rangers, to be champions of Scotland?

Answer: Third Lanark

Third Lanark were based at Cathkin Park, a short distance from Hampden Park, in the south side of Glasgow. In season 1903-04, they won the league title by four points from Heart of Midlothian, the only time that a Glasgow team other than Celtic or Rangers have won the title. Sadly, Thirds will never repeat that feat, as they were dissolved in 1967.
