Amazingly, Phil Niekro never went to a World Series in all his 24 seasons. He retired with 318 wins while younger brother Joe retired with 221. Phil was the 1969 NL Cy Young runner-up to Tom Seaver, while Joe was the NL Cy runner-up 10 seasons later to Bruce Sutter.

The DiMaggio boys, Joe, Dom, and the oldest Vince, played from 1936-1953. Dom was with the Red Sox ironically, while Vince was mostly a Pirate. Joe the Yankee, married film star Marilyn Monroe, and after retiring endorsed the 'Mr. Coffee' coffee maker. Joe was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955, and died in 1999.
