Answer: James "Sawyer" Ford

Sawyer appeared in the flashbacks for this episode and it was the first one where he was seen as a little boy. In the flashback, his father banged on the door at his and his mother's home and his mother told him to get under the bed. She opened up the door and told Sawyer's father to leave but he barges into the home and kills Sawyer's mother and then himself.

Sawyer awoke after we saw the first flashback and he heard a sound right by him. He was startled so he grabbed a flashlight and turned it on to see what the sound was. He was surprised when he saw a boar and then he moved back. When the boar started to leave, taking Sawyer's tarp, Sawyer chased after it with a weapon but the boar escaped.

Answer: Susse Budde

Budde, born on July 26th, 1973 in Dallas, Texas guest starred as Sawyer's mother in the first flashback of the episode. This was the only episode in which Budde guest starred as Sawyer's mother. She has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Yes, Dear", "Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service", and "Two and a Half Men."

Patrick, born on November 5th, 1958 in Marietta, Georgia guest starred as Hibbs on this episode. Hibbs was in a flashback where he caught Sawyer making love to a woman. This was the only episode of the series where Patrick played Hibbs. He has also guest starred on the TV series', "Stargate: Atlantis", "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", and "The Outer Limits."

In Jack and Kate's first scene, they were out in the jungle and going through a supply of guns and Kate asked Jack if anyone asked about the guns. Jack told her they knew the U.S. Marshal transporting Kate was on the plane but had assumed he traveled alone and protected them from terrorists. Jack simply commented that he found that idea regarding the U.S. Marshal being alone to protect the passengers to be a good theory.

In Claire's first scene, she saw Charlie in the jungle and sat down next to him and they said hello to each other. Charlie asked Claire how she was feeling and she responded how she felt very pregnant. She told Charlie she had some memories the previous night and how Charlie was in them. Claire asked Charlie if they could go for a walk but Charlie said he had to do something and could not walk with her.

About fifteen minutes into the episode, Charlie and Hurley were in a scene and Charlie commented how he appreciated Hurley's help but he did not have to assist him. It turned out that Hurley was helping Charlie lug Ethan's body to a place on the island so he could bury him since Charlie killed Ethan. Hurley joked that Charlie could bury Ethan until he rose from the dead.

Hurley saw Sayid hanging out by his tent so he went over and asked Sayid if he ever got Gulf War Syndrome. Sayid reminded Hurley how it was the other side, as in the United States soldiers, who got Gulf War Syndrome and Hurley commented that Sayid was correct. Hurley then asked Sayid what it was called when someone got shell shocked and Sayid answered that was post traumatic stress disorder. Hurley asked Sayid if he ever had post traumatic stress disorder so Sayid asked him why he wanted to know. Hurley told Sayid he was worried about Charlie since Charlie shot Ethan in the chest four times

Midway through the episode, Kate and Sawyer built a fire and sat down by it and Sawyer took out a bottle of alcohol. Kate asked him where he got it and he said he found it on the plane so she responded how Jack looked for the liquor cart. Sawyer simply said how it was a good thing he found it instead of Jack.

Sayid decided to do what Hurley asked him to do and that was to go talk to Charlie about killing Ethan. Sayid found Charlie near the beach, near the end of the episode, and Charlie assumed that Sayid was there to check up on him. Sayid told him how he knew Charlie killed Ethan but Charlie defended his decision, saying Ethan kidnapped Charlie and strung him up and left him to die. Charlie told Sayid he felt that Ethan deserved to die and he would kill him again in a minute.
