Boone is walking off the tennis court with a pretty blonde and you can see the flag on the left side of the jersey and read Italia above the flag. He notices his phone is ringing and once he answers it we can hear a crying Shannon on the other end.

Hurley says that he's having digestive issues due to all the fruit he's been eating. Jack suggests eating some protein and Hurley complains that Locke hasn't been bringing any boar. Jack then reminds him that Jin's been catching a lot of fish lately and Hurley informs Jack that he believes Jin got offended when he refused to eat the sea urchin Jin offered.

Boone's last name is Carlisle but Shannon's last name is Rutherford. Boone reveals this to the police officer in Sydney to whom he is reporting that Shannon's boyfriend abuses her. When the police officer asks why, if they are brother and sister, their last names are different, Boone explains that Shannon's father married his mother when he was 10 and Shannon was 8 and that Shannon is really his stepsister.

Boone's mother, Sabrina Carlisle, owns the biggest wedding business in the United States. Boone is telling this to the Australian police officer when he is begging the officer to do something to help his sister.

Kate is yapping away while she sits with Sun even though Kate believes that Sun doesn't speak or understand English. When Sun accidentally smiles at something funny that Kate says, Kate realizes that Sun does speak English. Sun tells her that only Michael knows she speaks English and begs Kate not to tell anybody else.

In an earlier scene, Jack ran into Kate picking up seeds. When she showed him what she was doing by extending her open hand and showing him the seeds, he looked at them and described them as "gross little greyish yellow things". In this scene, Jack tells Kate that he has something for her.

She holds out her hand and he places some seeds in it. Before looking at them, Kate asks if they are "gross little greyish yellow things" and Jack replies that they are "slimy little bluish black things".

Answer: Relieved

Locke gave Boone a hallucinogen that made him see Shannon get killed by the big dinosaur/monster. When Locke later asks Boone how it made him feel to see Shannon dead, Boone says he felt relieved. Boone seems to be feeling a little guilty about what he and Shannon did before the plane crash and that is likely the reason for him saying he felt relieved when he thought she had died.

Answer: Rose

Rose isn't technically part of the main cast but she is one of the few 40 something survivors who has had a role in several episodes. Of the main cast, only Claire did not appear in this episode but she also didn't appear in the previous episode. Rose had a large role in the previous episode, bonding with Charlie and giving him hope for Claire's return. Sawyer had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene in this episode appearing in Boone's flashback. Walt had a slightly longer scene than Sawyer, and Charlie a slightly longer scene than Walt.
