Doc and his dog Sprocket come from "Fraggle Rock". Several other countries, like the UK and France, filmed their own versions of the Doc/Sprocket scenes with a different actor playing the Doc character. Thus, in this special, viewers in a few other countries see a different character with Sprocket. Doc and Sprocket quickly find that their quiet Christmas has turned into a massive, loud party.

While they're disappointed to lose their quiet Christmas, they don't leave, instead adapting to the loud antics. Doc is played by Gerry Parkes (who is credited here as Gerry Parks).

Big Bird is so kindhearted that he's clueless about the Chef's intentions. Thinking to cheer up the Chef because the Chef is away from his family, Big Bird sings "The Christmas Song", which makes the emotionally-overwhelmed Swedish Chef cook something else for dinner.

Kermit and Robin worry about her, and as they worry, Count von Count counts "Two worried frogs". But this is Miss Piggy, and when she wants to do something, she'll get it done. She won't let "just a little bit of snow" stop her from getting to her favorite frog.

This blizzard actually works out well for Ma, as her flight would have been grounded and she would have been stuck at the airport for Christmas. It's much better to be surrounded by family and friends at the fireside than stuck in a cold building.

Bert, playing Mama, does not like his costume and doesn't want to act. At his insistence, the gang do not perform the whole poem and skip to the end after the Two-Headed Monster shows up as Santa.

Answer: A rock

The Fraggles Gobo, Mokey, Red, Boober, and Wembley meet Kermit and Robin after the frogs find the Fraggle tunnels through a hole in the house. The Fraggles believe it's better to give than receive, and they have little concept of personal property. They sing "Pass It On" while explaining how they've been gifting the same pebble to each other dozens of times over the years. The giving is the special part, not the gift itself.

In the "Fraggle Rock" episode "The Perfect Blue Rollie", which the song "Pass It On" comes from, Boober hoards personal possessions, which is looked down upon. By the end, he's learned to share, and passes on a blue rock, which is not the same rock seen in this special. Here, Mokey gives the pebble to Boober, who gives it to Robin, who gives it to Grover. Pass it on, indeed.

Her limo and cab get stuck in the snow, forcing her to find alternate transportation. Doc goes out looking for her, and she shows up in a dog sled while he is dressed in what looks like a Canadian Mountie costume. She apparently had the costume with her, and he takes it in gleeful stride to wear it.

Miss Piggy thinks he means a mink coat, but it's a real mink. She's upset until she realizes Maureen the Mink is her biggest fan and will sing her praises forever, the perfect gift for a vain Piggy.

The big guy himself pets Sprocket while enjoying the Muppets' singing, as he wants them to have a good time. Henson performed many characters until his death in 1990, including the Muppets Kermit, Rowlf, Waldorf, and Dr. Teeth, Ernie from "Sesame Street", and the "Fraggle Rock" character Cantus.

Before this, the Muppets have a sing-along, during which Doc dresses as Santa, having tossed aside all thoughts of a quiet Christmas to join the festivities.
