Question 2 of 10
2. In the opening sequence to "The Muppet Show", the number of Muppets you see onscreen progressively increases (you know, where they're all sitting in windows, singing "It's time to put on makeup"). If you start with two muppets, and the number of muppets is squared every second, how many muppets do you have after 5 seconds? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew is carrying out one of his ill-fated experiments, while his assistant Beaker goes "Mimimimi" in the background. The Doctor puts 2 litres of explosive liquid into a 6 litre jar, adds twice that volume of green goo, and then adds some gravy (one quarter the volume of the goo). He then removes half the liquid and adds one litre of bubbling froth. Assuming it hasn't exploded, has the jar overflowed yet?

Question 4 of 10
4. The Great Gonzo is sitting in a cannon in France, facing across the border into Germany. If the cannon fires him at an angle of 45 degrees, and his initial velocity is 45 miles per hour, is there any chance he will land on a trampoline 200 yards to the west?

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Muppet comes next in this sequence? Fozzie, Statler, Scooter, Miss Piggy, Trash Heap..."

Answer: Waldorf

Each Muppet shares an initial with a day of the week (in order, from Friday to Wednesday).

Answer: 4294967296

Obviously by this stage they would have run out of named Muppets. They'd probably have to make up the numbers with a lot of chickens.

Answer: Yes

It would have overflowed when he added the gravy, even though liquid was removed later. I imagine it would probably have dissolved Beaker's hand, or something like that.
4. The Great Gonzo is sitting in a cannon in France, facing across the border into Germany. If the cannon fires him at an angle of 45 degrees, and his initial velocity is 45 miles per hour, is there any chance he will land on a trampoline 200 yards to the west?

Answer: No

No, because he's not facing west.
5. Another sequence - what comes next? Sweetums, Oscar the Grouch, Nigel the Conductor, Dr. Teeth, Julius T. Strangepork, Fozzie, Miss Piggy ...

Answer: Animal

This time, they share initials with the months of the year (from September to April).
6. "We fetch his shed" is an anagram of which muppet?

Answer: the swedish chef

Other Muppet anagrams include "Greek Rift Moth" and "He's a late gem" (if you want to take a guess at these, the answers are after the next question).
7. Fozzie has 3 jokes. The first joke he tells isn't funny, no matter how much he goes "Waca Waca Waca". Neither is the later joke about the pig. He tells the joke about the horse before the one about the surveyor. One of his jokes does manage a few faint laughs at the back of the room. Which is the funniest joke?

Answer: The one about the surveyor

The joke about the horse must be the first one, and we already know the joke about the pig isn't funny.

(Answers to the extra anagrams in question 6 are "Kermit the Frog" and "Sam the Eagle".)
8. Cryptic crossword type clue: Fail to hit the Golding boy.

Answer: miss piggy

A reference to Piggy, the boy from William Golding's "Lord of the Flies".
9. Now a riddle. My first is in rainbow, my second in through, my third is in boring, my fourth in caribou, my fifth is in pineapple, bingo and new, my whole is in Kermit's annoying nephew.

Answer: robin

I'm being unfair. I used to like "Halfway Up the Stairs" when I was little.
10. All the vowels have been removed from the following list of muppets "swtmscrzyhrrysctrrwlfcmllthchcknbrgrdflydztlpsthmpptnwsrprtr" - if you add back in the vowels, how many muppets' names are there?

Answer: 10

They are "Sweetums, Crazy Harry, Scooter, Rowlf, Camella the Chicken, Beauregarde, Floyd, Zoot, Lips and The Muppet News Reporter".
