Despite how "All My Children" taped in New York City from 1970 to the end of 2009, they found an estate in nearby Connecticut which served as the backdrop to the gothic styled Cortlandt Manor. One famous instance when viewers saw this palatial establishment's exterior was at the fairy tale wedding of Cliff and Nina in 1980.

"AMC" took its cameras to the exquisite European nation of Switzerland to film Chuck and Donna on vacation. However, tragedy struck when they were trapped in an avalanche. They were eventually rescued and ventured back to Pine Valley.

Jack and Brooke grew concerned about Edmund's stability so they went to Budapest upon hearing he kidnapped Erica so as to get Dimitri to acknowledge Edmund was Hugo's son, thus letting Edmund inherit the Wildwind estate. In a dramatic conclusion, Helga fell to her death in Budapest after proclaiming her unrequited love for Hugo.

Edmund and Maria married in style and "AMC" decided to showcase this at a luxurious church in nearby Long Island. As "AMC" filmed in New York City, this was clearly not a difficult location shoot for them to do. During this beautiful wedding, Edmund and Maria exited in a horse drawn carriage.

"AMC" traversed up north to Canada to film some adventurous scenes in the wilderness when Tad and Dixie were evading the crazed and jealous Ted Orsini. In a riveting scene, Dixie held onto Tad in a swarming river while Ted reluctantly assisted the duo to safety. Ted eventually disappeared and was never heard from again, much to Tad and Dixie's relief.

"AMC" had many characters going to Jamaica in the Spring/1996 as Noah and Julia escaped there since Noah was falsely convicted of murdering Louie Greco. Some of the characters seen in Jamaica were Taylor, Jack, Hayley, Mateo, and Isabella. In a dramatic scene, Taylor and Julia got into a shoving match that culminated in Julia tumbling over a waterfall.

However, Julia survived the fall and reunited with Noah about a week later. In the coming weeks, Taylor would confess that Noah killed Louie in self-defense and she concealed Louie's gun that proved Noah's innocence.

This led to Taylor being sent to prison.

Erica and her best gal pal, Opal, went on a shopping spree on 5th Avenue in New York City with "Sonya" in the Spring/1997 and "AMC" captured this with a location shoot in The Big Apple. Erica's time with "Sonya" was short lived since this was actually Edmund and Maria's baby that Erica claimed she adopted from Russia. Erica would return the baby in late June/1997.

Jamie and Babe went on the run with "Ace" (later renamed to Adam Chandler III and then nicknamed "AJ") and spent a day at the Magic Kingdom in December/2004, which "AMC" captured via a location shoot. Part of the location shoot saw the trio spending time at the popular Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction. Shortly after these scenes, Babe confessed to Bianca that she kept her daughter from her and named her "Bess".

After many years of being in love, Jack and Erica finally married and did it in style at a lavish resort in Boca Raton, Florida in May/2005. "All My Children" captured the union in a location shoot. Like many of Erica's marriages, though, it soon ended in divorce since Erica expressed feelings for Jeff Martin once he returned to town the following year.
