Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. James Patrick March

Answer: Hotel

The builder of the Hotel Cortez, James March was a sadistic individual meant to be an H. H. Holmes type. What he created in Downtown Los Angeles was nothing short of a death trap, intentionally sealing workers off in the walls, killing employees and doing away with their bodies with the help of his faithful maid. March ultimately committed suicide when the cops were tipped off to his being the Ten Commandments Killer in the 1930s; Detective John Lowe would be his successor eighty years later.

March reappeared, briefly, in "Apocalypse".
2. Jimmy Darling

Answer: Freak Show

The son of strongman Dell Toledo and bearded lady Ethel Darling, Jimmy managed to keep the freak gene, winding up born with fused digits, seen as having lobster claws for hands. In "Freak Show", Jimmy appears already to be a member of Elsa Mars' freak show in Jupiter, Florida when the story begins.

He proves to be a loyal member of the troupe, but when the writing is on the wall, he makes a move to depart, only to return to put an end to the evil Dandy Mott, who's purchased the freak show from Elsa on a whim only to kill most of its stars.

He ends the season married to Bette and Dot Tattler, the conjoined twins.
3. Tate Langdon

Answer: Murder House

The role that started it all, Evan Peters played bad-boy Tate Langdon, one of the ghosts in the debut season, "Murder House". A troubled, brooding, and problematic character, it was one that attracted viewers to the show. Tate, after killing a group of kids at his high school, was killed in the house by a SWAT team and left to haunt the premises. It's his actions that lead to the inevitable deaths of several of the house's new inhabitants and the eventual spawning of the Anti-Christ, Michael Langdon, who appears in "Apocalypse".

Peters reprises his role as Tate Langdon in "Apocalypse" as well.
4. Austin Sommers

Answer: Double Feature - Red Tide

When Harry Gardner arrives on Cape Cod, playwright Austin Sommers is one of the first people he meets out in town; Harry finds him and Belle Noir at the local pub. Austin is responsible for giving Harry 'The Muse', a little black pill that local artists use to focus and hone their craft at the expense of their humanity. Belle and Austin realize they need to put an end to Harry and his daughter, Alma, but the two of them are beset by the pale creatures of Provincetown and killed at the end of "Red Tide".
5. Mr. Gallant

Answer: Apocalypse

Hairstylist to Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, Mr. Gallant manages to (luckily) hitch a ride on a private plane moments before the nuclear bombs drop, wiping out most of the planet. He ends up in Outpost 3 with a small handful of American survivors (including his grandmother), lasting another eighteen months before Michael Langdon, the Anti-Christ, shows up and feeds the vault-dwellers a bucket of poisoned apples.
6. Kyle Spencer

Answer: Coven

Killed by Madison Montgomery early in the "Coven" season despite being less implicated than his frat bro friends, Kyle ends up making a quick return to the fray when Madison and Zoe team up to collect his body parts and bring him back to life like a Frankenstein monster. Kyle ends up struggling to talk and to suppress his homicidal tendencies from that point on, but he does take on the role as loyal watchdog for the new coven members when evil comes knocking at their door.
7. Kai Anderson

Answer: Cult

A cult leader gone too far in "Cult", Kai Anderson leverages the results of the 2016 election to wreak havoc in Michigan, rising through the political ranks with fear tactics and cult-like persuasiveness. He finds a worthy adversary in Ally Mayfair-Richards, who puts an end to him by facing her fears and getting her hands dirty, but not before he manages to create a cult of personality around him, killing many of his most faithful followers and family members along the way. Kai is killed after escaping prison and appearing at Ally's senate campaign.

Throughout the season, Peters also plays fictionalized versions of Charles Manson, David Koresh, and Jim Jones, drawing parallels between all of them.
8. Kit Walker

Answer: Asylum

Although accused of being Bloody Face when his wife goes missing, Kit Walker is innocent. It was aliens that took his wife, but that's not a good story to tell the people at Briarcliff Asylum, where Kit spends most of his time during the "Asylum" season. Though Kit is eventually freed, his life after isn't easy either.

He ends up living with another inmate, Grace, and his wife, Alma, but his wife kills Grace and gets sent to Briarcliff herself. Kit would die of cancer some years later, but in his final moments, he's seen departing with alien visitors.
9. Jeff Pfister

Answer: Apocalypse

Jeff Pfister and Mutt Nutter, despite the awful names, prove to be assets to Michael Langdon in the later episodes of "Apocalypse", bringing their robot technology into play and recreating the Anti-Christ's mother figure, Satanist Miriam Mead, as a super-powered android. Neither Jeff nor Mutt survive the apocalypse, but when the timeline is reset by Mallory, it's presumed they come back along with everyone else.
10. Rory Monahan

Answer: Roanoke

An actor playing the role of Edward Philippe Mott in 'My Roanoke Nightmare's' later episodes, Rory Monahan returns with the cast and original homeowners for 'Return to Roanoke' on the eve of the blood moon, doomed to once again incur the wrath of the spirits waiting at the house on the Roanoke grounds. Engaged to Audrey Tindall, he enters the house with her and the others and becomes the first victim on this cycle of the massacre.
