Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the Summer of 1991, fans were hooked when Janet threw Natalie down the well and stole her identity. Who was the first to realize that "Natalie" was Janet?

Answer: Hayley Vaughn

Janet arrived in town, in May of 1991, and she became jealous of Natalie, especially over Natalie's relationship with Trevor. She devised a scheme of where she would lose weight, dye and cut her hair to look like Natalie's, and toss Natalie in a well to leave her to die. Janet told Natalie to meet her where the well was and they got into a fight and Janet tossed her down the well.

After a while, Hayley, Trevor's niece, noticed "Natalie" behaving strangely and she found out that "Natalie" was actually Janet. Janet kidnapped her but Hayley was freed and suffered no harm.
2. "AMC" and "OLTL" did a crossover story, in 2004, with a baby switch. At what location did Babe Carey find out that "Bess" was Bianca's daughter, Miranda?

Answer: The river where her son had "died"

On the night that Babe and Bianca both gave birth to their children, Miranda Montgomery and Adam Chandler III, Paul Cramer staged a helicopter crash and, at first, told Babe that her son had "died" (he was really alive and being raised by his sister, Kelly Buchanan, in Llanview where "One Life to Live" is set).

However, he changed his story and said it was Bianca's baby who was thrown into the river and drowned. One night, in May of 2004, Babe saw her mother by the river and memories flooded back. One of the memories Babe recalled was Paul telling her that her son had "died." Babe broke down over the fact that she was raising Bianca's daughter and it was not until around seven months later when she gave Bianca's baby back to her.
3. One of the first big stories that "AMC" did was Phil Brent's paternity and it was revealed in 1970. How was Phil related to Ruth Brent (Ruth went on to marry Joe Martin)?

Answer: Phil was both Ruth's adoptive son and her nephew on his mother's side

Phil's paternity was revealed since he was adopted by Ruth and Ted Brent. We learned that Phil's biological parents were Amy Parker and Nick Davis. Amy Parker also happened to be Ruth's sister. This meant that Phil was not only Ruth's adopted son but he was her nephew on his mother's side as well.
4. Jesse and Jenny went on the run in the Summer of 1982 and went to New York City. What was the surname of the landlady at the apartment complex where they stayed?

Answer: Gonzalez

Jesse ran off to New York City after Liza accused him of rape and Jenny took off for New York City, as well, when she found out her father was a rapist. They got an apartment with a landlord named Mrs. Gonzalez. Jesse and Jenny had a great friendship with her and left her once Jesse's name was cleared in Liza's false allegation of rape. They shared a tender goodbye with Mrs. Gonzalez.
5. Many people had a motive to kill Zach Grayson. The murderer was revealed through what item?

Answer: Pocketbook

Daisy Cortlandt was convicted of Zach Grayson's murder and sentenced to prison. Donna had suspicions that Daisy was not the real culprit so she took truth serum to help her remember. She recalled that, on the night of his murder, she was at Zach's apartment and noticed a pocketbook with the initial "W" on it.

However, the initial was actually "M" and Donna had read it wrong. She labeled Marian as the killer since she felt the "M" stood for "Marian." Marian was revealed to be the killer.
6. Greg and Jenny had the perfect romance but it came to a halt when a jet ski, rigged by Tony Barclay, exploded and Jenny died. What happened to Tony?

Answer: He died in a scuffle with Greg

Greg was devastated when Jenny rode a jet ski, one day, and it exploded. Tony Barclay, Jenny's ex-fiance, wanted to get revenge on Greg for taking Jenny from him so he rigged Greg's jet ski to explode. In a twist of faith, Greg and Jenny switched jet skis. Greg found out that Tony rigged the jet ski and confronted him about it. Tony ran from Greg but Greg cornered him on a rooftop.

They struggled and Tony died during their scuffle.
7. "AMC" did a classic story on birth control in 1979. Who took birth control pills that year?

Answer: Erica Kane

Erica fell in love with football player, Tom Cudahy, and they got married. Erica and Tom planned to have a baby and Erica was on board with this, at first, but secretly took birth control pills behind Tom's back. Tom discovered the pills, blasted Erica for lying to him, and he divorced her.
8. Billy Clyde Tuggle's reign of terror on many Pine Valley residents remains a favorite amongst several "AMC" fans. However, which of these people did he NOT terrorize or do harm to during their run on the show?

Answer: Natalie Marlowe

Billy Clyde Tuggle was on "AMC" from 1977 to 1980 and again from 1984 to 1990. He interacted with several characters and terrorized and harmed some but Natalie was never one of them. In fact, Natalie and Billy Clyde were never involved in a story together.

However, Billy Clyde had an obsession with Dixie and kidnapped her and tried to make her his wife, he tried to kill Benny Sago by burying him alive when he and Benny battled for Estelle's affections (Benny survived), and he nearly killed Donna by knocking her out in her garage, locking her in with her car running while she was unconscious. Billy Clyde Tuggle's reign of terror came to an end in late 1990 when he was killed in an explosion and his body was recovered.
9. "AMC" did a tornado story in 1994 and somebody died during that tornado.

Answer: False

In 1994, the town of Pine Valley was struck with a violent tornado while most of the residents were at Adam and Gloria's wedding. Despite all the massive damage that took place, nobody died during this tornado, although Tad had an out of body experience after being knocked out during the storm.

The show did another tornado story, in 2008, and Babe Carey perished in that plot. For the 1994 tornado, the show simulated the tornado with fans going at rapid speed.
10. Con man Langley Wallingford wormed his way into Phoebe Tyler's life and they soon fell in love. Langley was a professor in what subject?

Answer: Archeology

Langley came to town and tried to get access to Phoebe's fortune. They initially hated one another but Phoebe soon became attracted to Langley. Langley and Phoebe had a long courtship that lasted throughout the entire 1980s and delighted many fans. On several occasions, it was mentioned that Langley was a professor of archeology.

In some scenes, they even mentioned that Langley was out of town on an archaeological dig.
