Stark pops up, explaining his absence to the viewers when he tells Zhaan he came back to return the transport pod he borrowed after they left the gammak base way back in "The Hidden Memory." He says he has some important news.

Aeryn was only gone in the mists for a day to do recon. When she returns, she is old and claims to have lived for 165 cycles. Zhaan confirms that Aeryn has aged 160 cycles since she left Moya through DNA tests.

Answer: Chiana

Chiana stole it on a commerce planet and gave it to Aeryn to make up for smashing her prowler. Now it has aged with Aeryn, along with the transport pod which has become overgrown with a small plant that Zhaan gave her.

Answer: False

She had three sons, but they all died. She does have a granddaughter, however, who is waiting on her below and needs the transport pod to get off the barren planet she's waiting on.

Answer: They are center halos

Stark tells the others that the mists are known as center halos, where time doesn't exist. Aeryn aged normally down on the planet, so it is Moya and those aboard that are not aging at all. More bad news, Stark tells them, "It is believed that nothing ages in a halo, and eventually it hardens, and everything inside is trapped without time forever." So they are left to decide if they leave John (who went after Aeryn) and Aeryn behind or escape the mist before it hardens around Moya, trapping them forever.

Answer: The Maid of Amsterdam

John shuffles along and sings, "I'll go no more a-roving with you, fair maid. A-roving, a-roving since roving's been my ruin. I'll go no more a'roving." This is an old sea shanty song, known as "The Maid of Amsterdam." "Froggie Went A Courtin'" is an old folk song. "Golden Years" is a David Bowie song and "Fixin' to Die" is an old blues song.

John teases Aeryn about her locket, since she never lets him look at it, telling her he doesn't think it's a picture of her husband in it, but of him. "Yeah, my picture, surrounded by roses, and hearts and yotz." Aeryn tells him to take a look, that it's the image of "the only love" of her life. John replies, "Na, I don't want to see his ugly face," thinking it is a picture of her late husband.

When talking about a lake back on Earth he wished he could take Aeryn to see, he says it "had more mosquitoes than a dog has fleas."

Answer: Reverse starburst

At first the plan is to just fly backwards because the mist moves with Moya and the end of the ship is outside the mist. However, the mist has hardened too much for that plan to work, so they must do reverse starburst, which could destroy Moya and her crew. Nothing is ever easy for these guys.

Answer: His picture

Aeryn dies when she and John return to Moya. John opens the locket and sees his picture. Too bad that when they get out of the mist and everything goes back to the moment before they entered the mists, John doesn't remember. In the end, though, Aeryn finds the locket, aged, its contents disintegrated over time. Dumping out the pieces, Aeryn and John look at each other funny. Do they remember?
