Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the late 90s and into the 2000s, many TV shows directed at teenagers had supernatural or alien themes. Which of the following shows did NOT showcase any unnatural superpowers?

Answer: Dawson's Creek

"Dawson's Creek" debuted in January 1998 and aired until May 2003. It focused on the lives of a small group of teenagers in fictional Capeside, Massachusetts, who tended to have a larger vocabulary than the average teen, with new emotional dramas appearing each week.

It was generally praised for being well-written and very intelligent in a pop-culture sense (creator Kevin Williamson also wrote "Scream" which garnered similar praise). "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Charmed" both starred super-powered women who fought demons, while "Roswell" was a show about actual aliens living as teenagers in Roswell, NM.

8. "Your Honor," a limited series about a judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run accident, stars what actor, best known for appearing in the crime drama "Breaking Bad," in the title role?

Answer: Bryan Cranston

"Your Honor" is a ten-episode drama, based on an Israeli TV series called "Kvodo," that premiered on Showtime on December 6, 2020 and concluded on February 14, 2021. Bryan Cranston plays the role of Michael Desiato, a New Orleans judge, who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his son, Adam, who has killed the son of an organized crime boss in a car accident.

As you might have guessed, things go downhill from there. Cranston is best known for playing Walter White, a chemistry teacher diagnosed with cancer who uses his skills to manufacture illegal drugs, in the acclaimed drama "Breaking Bad." "Your Honor" received mixed reviews from critics, with Cranston being praised for his acting but the show's premise being criticized as overly derivative of better shows.
