Answer: Kate suddenly arrives and shoots Locke.

As Jack and Locke wage a furious battle, the instability of the island manifests itself in storms and tremors. Locke gains the upper hand and manages to retrieve his knife. He inflicts a serious injury by stabbing Jack in the abdomen. Just as Locke is ready to deliver a fatal blow, Kate shoots Locke. She righteously cries, "I saved you a bullet."

Answer: "I hope someone does for you, what you've done for me."

Jack is astonished that John has made such a dramatic recovery and already has tangible, positive results from the surgery. When John moves his feet, he experiences his epiphany. A panoply of images from the island emerge. He remembers. He urges Jack to go with him, but Jack isn't ready, yet.

Answer: "I don't believe in a lot of things, but I believe in duct tape."

Miles skillfully wraps copious amounts of duct tape around the faulty hydraulic system. Satisfied with his handiwork, Miles suggests that they leave right away.

Answer: an Apollo bar

Alluding to a previous similar experience with the vending machine, the Apollo bar is stuck in the machine. Sawyer awkwardly tries to retrieve it. Juliet happens along and asks, "Can I help you?" Sawyer is embarrassed, but Juliet demonstrates a clever method of extracting the candy bar.

As Juliet hands Sawyer the candy bar, they touch and glimpses of their past lives together surface. They touch again and the shared memories return in their entirety. They passionately embrace.

Answer: Hurley

Hurley receives the guardianship of the island from Jack. As everyone else who has performed the ceremony before him, Jack utters the same words, "Now, you are like me." Jack is lowered into the cave. Jack finds a desperately tired Desmond. Jack is adamant that Desmond return to his wife and son. Jack bids farewell by saying, "I'll see you in another life, brother."

Answer: Frank successfully lifts off.

As the island is falling apart and collapsing, Frank skillfully steers the plane across a clear strip of land. Frank narrowly misses an embankment before victoriously gaining enough altitude to clear the obstacle. He swings to the left and they appear to be safely on their way.

Answer: The pool is restored to its previous state.

The light returns. The waterfall resumes and the pool refills with water. Jack laughs with feelings of relief and victory. Hurley and Ben realize that Jack has succeeded in restoring the island. They pull on the weight at the end of the rope, thinking that Jack is on the other end. Instead, they pull Desmond to the surface.

Answer: Ben

Ben is sitting outside of the church, perhaps contemplating his previous life and how he should make reparations in the future. Ben apologizes to John. John gracious as ever, forgives Ben. Hurley steps outside and asks Ben if he is coming inside. Ben says, "I don't think I'm comin' in." Hurley nods in understanding and turns around to enter the church. Hurley pauses though, and has some departing words for Ben, "You were a real good number two." Ben in turn lauds Hurley, "And, you were a great number one, Hugo." Hurley thanks Ben and departs with, "I'll see ya."

Answer: He finally realizes that he has died.

Jack asserts that his father has died. Therefore, Jack wonders how Christian Shephard can be here. Jack's father calmly replies, "How are you here?" Jack in stark realization resignedly says, "I died, too." He then breaks down. Christian consoles him. Jack ponders aloud whether all of the people in the church are dead. His father says, "Everyone dies sometime, kiddo."

Answer: No

As Jack lies on the ground in the final moments of his life, the faithful Vincent comes along and lies down beside Jack. Jack peers into the sky above and sees the Ajira jet fly overhead. Jack smiles and closes his eyes.
